The opportunity of having two butterflies on a single flower is seldom and always welcome. The photographer made the best of it! Congratulations! Yellow, green, white, that is all! The three colours enhance each other very softly. As a result: a very poetic picture! Thank you for entering this challenge!

Great simplicity for this photography in the elegant composition and the outstanding sharpness. Only a few colours, where a joyful flashy yellow dominates. It suggests us that it is springtime and that all kind of flies are busy on the flowers. The macro shot shows all the perfect details of this insect.Thank you very much for your participation! And congratulations!

Simplicity and beauty! Sharpness at the right places, beautiful details, colours, excellent light and slight transparencies. The whole is enhanced by the dark bokeh of the background. Moro Sphinx butterflies are seldom seen and not easy to shoot as they are very small and behave as hummingbirds do, often in statinary flight but moving very quickly. It is almost a miracle to catch a good picture, and this one is exceptional!Congratulations to the patient, but also lucky photographer! Thank you for your participation and sharing this wonderful picture with us!

What a poetic atmosphere, where the sharp foreground with the bee and the flower vanishes in the softly blurred background. The vivid pink, yellow and orange explode on the shy green and blue-grey!What an inspired shot! Congratulations! And thank you for entering this challenge!

Incredible portraiture of a terrifying creature! This magnified bee looks very strange, with its very thick hairy coat and its many long legs! Busy on a flower… Very well composed, nice details and colours, bokeh. This photography is excellent, congratulations! May I suggest that some clues concerning the story of the shot would be welcome, may be a next time?

This photo is particularly stunning as we can admire the magnified portrait of a very tiny bee which most people do not notice. It is touching to see this anonymous creature as a macro photo, showing all the details we cannot usually see, and all the pollen on the body. I like the soft pink background, contrasting with the black and yellow. Thank you for for the origininality of the subject and the outstanding result! Congratulations!

Beauty of a very classic shot: composition, light, colours, incredible shapness everywhre, on the yellow butterfly and the blue globe thistle flower. The whole enhanced by the dark background with some soft hues. What else to say? It is a perfect photo! Congratulations! And I thank you for your participation in this challenge!

Little hairy thing full with pollen, exploring a crocus!! This lbumble bee seems to reveal us that the pollen comes from the gold mne hidden in each flower.. Excellent shot, very well done! !Thank your participation in this challlenge and congratulations!

Delightful poetry in this springtime photography where sharpness remains limited to the essential, enhanced by th nice and soft bokeh of the background. The colours are at the same time joyful and tender… A very inviting photo for a moment of dream… Thank you flor sharing it with us! Congratulations!

Excellent illustration of the challenge theme: the polinator is at work, totally drownded inside the heart of a yellow flower. The small bee is already covered with pollen grains ready for fertilisazion at each stop on next flowers. I like all the details on the tiny black body of this insect and the contrast with the softness of the golden petals. Very well done! And thank you for entering this challenge!

Show me your best colour photos of insect pollinators active on flowers. The pollinating insects can include butterflies, flies, bees, wasps, beetles, ants etc. Please no non-insect pollinators like birds or mammals. Only colour photos. Without insect pollinators there would be no fertilisation of the flowers and consequently no fruit, so I am looking forward to seeing your photos of these important insects.
