I like this shot a lot of the Wasp and their nest you done well in not getting stung.

I think you done something to the background in editing and I find it very pleasing, such a simple and different approach to my contest, well done in getting 3rd.

I have tried photographing insects in flight and I know how difficult it is to get sharp results. This image of a wasp you took in flight is amazingly sharp considering the F/5.6 aperture you were using, you were also using a 500mm lens, I would love to have had some information on how you done it wherever their was a nest nearby and you were sitting and waiting for one of the wasps to fly past, maybe we will never know. Very well done in getting into my top 10.

Meet the judge

Getting sharp shots in macro of insect Photography is difficult but I think you have nailed it with this shot of a wasp. Judging by the shutter speed you were using I would guess you were using a tripod which helps to get sharp shots in macro, I am not sure but you might have also done a focus stack a guess again because you did not give much information on this image. well done in getting 2nd..

Taking extreme close ups like this takes a lot of knowledge and skill, you got to have good equipment and good editing skills.

I like that you complemented the wasp with the background colours and that everything that needs to be sharp is sharp. You must have some good equipment to have taken this excellent extreme close up. Very well done in getting into my top 10.
