This is a powerful image, where the viewer is looking over a domino player's shoulder which brings you into the game. The interior and people all have a grit and age about them which adds to the mood. With just the right number of people who dissect the image which gives it good balance and intimacy.

This image squeezed into my top 10 as the height of the space feels very squashed. The architecture makes this happen, and with the image in black and white, the walls and ceilings feel dirty and un-inviting. But it's the two figures on the right with their luggage that helps me work out what type of space this is. Loved the symmetry and the fact that there is much more ceiling that flooring shown in the crop.
When I look into some images and am confused with what I am being shown, it make me need to look further to try to understand. I just cannot work this out with this shot. Which is why is works so well for me. Almost made it into my top 10. Shot on a camera phone which is quite impressive. Nice work.
Action, movement, force, energy, colour, intensity and a feeling of being in someone's personal space that they love is what this image delivers really well. It's not the easiest thing in the world to shoot, but the photographer has captured enough of the car's interior in focus as they need to. Any slower than 1/80th of a sec, it might have been difficult. Great!
I was very pleased to see this image showing a great view from a room of the house which is clearly well used and enjoyed. I think they work very well together, as the photographer has not tried to tidy up the room. If they had, it may have looked too fake as that sun breaking through the clouds is so sublime. Great to see both the items in the room and the distant view are sharp. Again, helping the image make it into my top 3.

The brief for this competition was about the 'places I love'. This image for me creates a perfect feeling of bliss for the child reading her magazine, on a comfy sofa. The teddy bear provides the balance across the image, and the sunlight is warming, and just perfect. A very simple shot, but perfectly executed, capturing a moment in time.
Loved this image. Again, simplicity , a sense of space, symmetry, and human interaction. All makes this shot a great one for me. Like the straight lines of the roof trusses powering your eyes up the image to meet in the middle at the top. Not sure I would have coloured the roof of the stall pink, being super critical.
Great car shot, that feels 'electric'. The movement in view but the sharpness of the interior is fantastic. Finding that smooth road has paid dividends, so well done for that! I think if you could see just a bit more of the person driving it might have made a slight difference. Maybe a left arm on steering wheel even? But loved the colours and framing. It's also really hard to choose the right shutter speed, but a 10th is clearly a perfect choice here
Mesmerising. The silky smooth but undulating rock walls gives a sense of calm, warmth and comfort when you look at this image. The sunbeam is perfect and a great angle coming down onto the soft looking sand beneath. Beautifully framed and makes me want to be there and to go exploring what's around the corner.
A perfect night sky, milky way, and the red tent in the foreground gives this shot an almost alien feel. Shots of the night sky always gives a great sense of space and distance thats almost impossible to comprehend. But the horizon and tent brings you back down to earth. Inside places we love is a perfect brief for this shot.

What are those places that we love? Maybe your bathroom, with the radio on in the shower, or bubbles piled high in the bath? Your favourite restaurant, where you keep having the same dish, even though you do still take some time to look at the menu before ordering. Maybe it’s a grand museum that inspires you, or your garden shed, where you have everything in perfect order, or not! Maybe this is interiors photography, maybe it’s portraiture or still life. But most of all it’s about the feeling you have for these spaces and places.
