**Open to photographers with a ranking outside the top 1000. There are two other 'Inspired by… Cartier-Bresson’s ‘decisive moment’' contests currently open to other ranks. Take a look at the leaderboard for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** Iconic photographer Cartier-Bresson's 'Decisive moment' refers to those fleeting, non re-creatable moments of genius that the photographer has a split-second to capture. Sometimes, timing is so crucial, that taking the shot even slightly too early or too late can completely change the effect of the image. Cartier-Bresson taught us that the best photographers are always ready, and take their cameras everywhere. Because you never know what sort of photo opportunity might flash before our eyes that, once gone, is gone forever.
