Really like the abstract nature of this, pops really well agents a black background.

Couple of bits of dust on the stairwell which stops it ranking higher, as they're brighter they draw my eye.

Also the red colour cast from whatever was in the area you have filled in with black give away the illusion, sort those bits out and you have a fantastic image.

There is loads of submissions of this staircase so congratulations on coming out on top!

I like the tighter framing on your image, draws the viewers eye down into the darkness below.

The colour treatment is also very well done, bringing out the colour of the warm wood perfectly.

Not my usual kind of image this but it just really stands out for me!

Those straight lines and beautiful gradation of tones gives this an almost musical quality and the little bit of highlights just sneaking in on the handrail curve is fantastic.

Great example of a number of different photography rules too fibonacci sequence, rule of thirds etc which makes it really pleasing on the eye.

Congrats on a winning image!

This shot is a breath of fresh air in a contest full of staircases.

Fits the brief perfectly and i'd love to have something like this in my portfolio.

The wide angle works really well and there's a great balance to the shot. The gentleman in the middle is posed perfectly and frames the smoke coming out.

There's a huge cubist feel to this image and I could easily see it hung in a gallery as a piece of artwork.

The colour treatment works really well for me and I don't mind the blue leaking in from the exterior light, it balances well with the warmth of the decoration on the interior.

Lots of shots of staircases in this competition but you've got a beautiful one here!

Love the contrast throughout the image and the lack of colour really works.

You have handled the treatments of the whites really well and tonally creates a great shot.

The colours on this are fantastic, the warmth really adds to the image and creates a really pleasing shot.

The only thing I would change on your colours is the blue reflection coming through from the ceiling light which just draws my eye a little too much.

A wonderful shot here with some really nice details which fits the brief perfectly.

I really like the convergence of patterns and the highlights on the wood in the lower right third offset with the darkness of the lower left makes the image for me.

I'm not usually a massive fan of black and white images but it works really well for this.

There's just the right amount of contrast to draw the viewer down the image and the light at the bottom leads you perfectly.

I'd maybe just lighten the lady ever so slightly so she is a bit more obvious but it's a fantastic shot.

Good interiors photography often combines some shots of the whole space with carefully chosen shots that focus on smaller elements, from furnishings to wall fixtures, art or built-in architectural detail. They are usually artfully composed, well lit, and show off the attention to detail of the designer or architect. It doesn’t have to be a modern interior or even high end for this contest. There are interior details all around us when we’re indoors and plenty of opportunity for interesting and well executed shots.

I like how different this image is to many of the other submissions but still clearly fits the brief.

There a re a few technical issues that if sorted would have placed this higher, there's quite a bit of blue light drifting in (i'm guessing there was a skylight above) and it's not quite level.

Sort those two out and you've got a top 3 image for me.

You have captured this area perfectly using the leading lines and the positioning of the lady perfectly to draw the viewer through the scene.

Those little pops of yellow work really and and the overall contrast of the image is great.

As a thumbnail this is a really strong image but it just looses a bit of quality when blown up which is why I haven't ranked it any higher.

Great shot and a fantastic example of the best camera is the one you have with you as i'm not sure many people would guess this was shot on iPhone.

I think i've commented before on working on the blue colours coming in through the windows but it's a really nice shot and has stood out again.

Really nice capture.

The exposure as been handled really well and the colours really pop off my screen.

Have a look at sorting out the distortion as the windows around the edge just curve in a little bit and getting the skylight in the centre and you've easily got a top 10 image here.

Love this shot and it was very nearly in my top 10.

The shadows on the pillars are fantastic and the lady stood there is some great luck!

If you could straighten it out and rotate slightly so everything is level would make a stronger shot.

This is a great shot, stands off the page really well and beautiful framing.

I'd have loved to have put this in my top 10 but there's a little colour cast coming in, blue from the bottom and orange from the top because of differing lighting and it's also not quite straight which becomes more obvious as it's all squares.

You've easily got a top 10 if those little bits are sorted out, well done!
