Really like the abstract nature of this, pops really well agents a black background.
Couple of bits of dust on the stairwell which stops it ranking higher, as they're brighter they draw my eye.
Also the red colour cast from whatever was in the area you have filled in with black give away the illusion, sort those bits out and you have a fantastic image.
Not my usual kind of image this but it just really stands out for me!
Those straight lines and beautiful gradation of tones gives this an almost musical quality and the little bit of highlights just sneaking in on the handrail curve is fantastic.
Great example of a number of different photography rules too fibonacci sequence, rule of thirds etc which makes it really pleasing on the eye.
Congrats on a winning image!
This shot is a breath of fresh air in a contest full of staircases.
Fits the brief perfectly and i'd love to have something like this in my portfolio.
The wide angle works really well and there's a great balance to the shot. The gentleman in the middle is posed perfectly and frames the smoke coming out.
I'm not usually a massive fan of black and white images but it works really well for this.
There's just the right amount of contrast to draw the viewer down the image and the light at the bottom leads you perfectly.
I'd maybe just lighten the lady ever so slightly so she is a bit more obvious but it's a fantastic shot.

Good interiors photography often combines some shots of the whole space with carefully chosen shots that focus on smaller elements, from furnishings to wall fixtures, art or built-in architectural detail. They are usually artfully composed, well lit, and show off the attention to detail of the designer or architect. It doesn’t have to be a modern interior or even high end for this contest. There are interior details all around us when we’re indoors and plenty of opportunity for interesting and well executed shots.
I like how different this image is to many of the other submissions but still clearly fits the brief.
There a re a few technical issues that if sorted would have placed this higher, there's quite a bit of blue light drifting in (i'm guessing there was a skylight above) and it's not quite level.
Sort those two out and you've got a top 3 image for me.
You have captured this area perfectly using the leading lines and the positioning of the lady perfectly to draw the viewer through the scene.
Those little pops of yellow work really and and the overall contrast of the image is great.
As a thumbnail this is a really strong image but it just looses a bit of quality when blown up which is why I haven't ranked it any higher.

This is a great shot, stands off the page really well and beautiful framing.
I'd have loved to have put this in my top 10 but there's a little colour cast coming in, blue from the bottom and orange from the top because of differing lighting and it's also not quite straight which becomes more obvious as it's all squares.
You've easily got a top 10 if those little bits are sorted out, well done!
