Tranquil, calm, reflective with tones epitomising the Irish landscape. A beautiful landscape with a branch as foreground interest and a little mist in the distance. In my eyes the photograph is well balanced with subtle colours indicative of the Irish climatic regime. A beautiful shot.
Although the light on the horizon is a little blown out the landscape is, nonetheless, typically Irish. The autumnal colours of the bracken, the abandoned school with its almost perfect rectangular wall and a feeling of remoteness made this image stand out. It speaks of rural depopulation and out migration.

Ireland is renowned for its scenery and this, combined with the softness of the light, makes it a magnet for landscape and seascape photographers. I want to see rural landscapes, mountains lakes, beaches, cliffs, coasts (seascapes). It is possible to have human elements (livestock, buildings, distant villages) incorporated but they must not dominate the scene. Light, land, sea, rivers, lakes and mountains all abound. Submit the very best of Irelands captivating and inimitable landscapes and/or seascapes in colour or monochrome.
