Great contest!

This is very clever and I think the photographer has got down at exactly the right angle to pull this off with the cloud parting at exactly the right moment- this could just as easily be someone walking toward heaven as it is a woman on a bridge !

I wanted the following from the best pictures I think. The lines need to lead you either to something you want to see (as in this winning image) OR toward something that isn't clear (as in the second place image) but that you want to know about. The image should be clear and have a good degree of photographic skill and the leading lines themselves need to be (a) interesting and (b) NOT take up TOO much of the foreground. This ticks all the boxes and I love it - the birds atop almost every pole are an obvious added bonus!

This was a VERY close second for me - its a fantastic idea and very effective - it totally draws you in and you really want to follow that car into the light. Id be interested to know exactly how it was done actually!

I know exactly where this is taken from and I have tried to get pretty much the same shot with the same degree of sharpness and colour as this one has - tower bridge is intriguing enough but the lines pull you toward it even more.

Very effective. The black and white blurs the lines and lends this a sci-fi type feel . I also love that the figure is not placed in the middle - it adds to the air of mystery as you cant help wondering why, as he isn't making use of the handrail!

This contest is for your photos that use leading lines, which are actual or perceived lines that lead the viewer’s eye from one part of the composition to another, usually from the bottom of the frame to the background. The setting can be anything you choose but should have leading lines that lead the eye into the shot.
