Light painting

What a striking image! There are a number of elements that draw the eye in, which is what makes this shot so successful. At first glance the shift in colours and shapes gives the scene an almost cubist feel to it. When you look closer the symmetrical composition and geometric lines lead your eye through the scene over and over again. The impact from the light trails add to the graphic style of this shot and the painterly effect gives it an abstract feel, which is what makes it so dynamic.
