II have seen many Aurora Borealis pictures and have photographed many times. A good backdrop for this is Iceland but also Norway. The Lapland in Finland is also well suited for this. The beautiful reflection in the lake and the trees in the background provide a wonderful scene. I like this picture very much and congratulate for 2nd place. Thank you for submitting

Meet the judge
At first glance, the picture looked like a manipulation to me, because to capture so perfectly 2 flashes seemed almost impossible for me. I have looked at the picture for a long time and realized that it is actually a real recording. A big compliment for the impressive picture, which is not easy to photograph. The flash iluminat a picture so strong that it is quickly overexposed. But on this picture is little trace of it. I say nir you have done everything right and deserve with this picture a top 10 place. Congratulations.
If one speaks of a light spectacle then this picture fulfills all requirements. It must have been an impressive moment of recording. A great well-chosen spot for such a shot. Photographic there is nothing to complain about. For Aurora images, I also choose an exposure time between 8 and 15 seconds maximum when the lights are dim. However, I always choose a slightly higher ISO number. But the settings of the camera for this shot are perfect and I could not have done better myself. Thank you very much for your participation and congratulations to the final place.
Light spectacle without a Milky Way photography is not possible. A nicely staged Milky Way in an interesting landscape also deserves a top 10 place. Looking at this picture, I was not sure if you photographed it on Earth. The rock monoliths remind me of a futuristic world. A big compliment to you for the great photo. Congratulations
I congratulate you on this great recording on Haukland Beach in Lofoten. This is one of my favorite shots. Beautiful light and a fascinating landscape provide harmony in the picture. Photo technically there is nothing to complain about. There is no picture noise and this shows that the camera settings were perfectly matched.
