Light trails

This is an image that has taken the theme but used it as only part of a gorgeous image and added so much more. The urban feel/filter is genius, the movement of traffic is beautifully accentuated by the slight trails. the motion of the crowds is awesome, the composition of the scene the road, the angle, the buildings wow.......... The shiny metallic feel - I have to stop finding brilliance... So jealous......

Love this, a very clever idea in a Light Trails concept to have nothing else in the image but the viewer still gets the idea of the scene..... Well composed and almost minimal but still plenty to view..... Your eyes really travel along with them. I have said this before but the copyright mark is very distracting for a contest entry.........

Certainly jumped out of the screen. A unique and mesmerising image and faults any are ignored as this is amazing, not that I can see any. The 'blurred planet' really makes this even more stunning. Well done a once in a lifetime image........

It has a simplicity but I'm sure was not easy to get right, but the effort paid off. The composition is genius, the Milky Way, the curves, the landscape and the perfect combination of reds and whites from the trails all come together to make a spectacular image. Possibly remove the slight distraction from the left middle, very well done......

Beautiful crisp clean image, love this one of a very popular subject, Seen many of this Xmas view but this stands out. The colour tones of the buildings are brilliant, there are just enough trails to not overpower the image. Nice composition and cropping lovely well done......... I have tried this over a few years and it is hard to get the right position along the road but this is perfect.....

As you say Perfect Conditions, this is a gorgeous image, well composed and very nice reflection. Nice having two focal points of the fireworks and the castle... The dull tones and gloomy cloud to me just add to the image, nice composition......

Love the futuristic movie like quality to the image, genius composition and so much interest, the trails, the spike, the buildings and the amazing tones and colours...... The green tonal colours are marvellous and nice leading lines... There are faint glare spots all over that work very well. Even the street lights add so much to a full scene, well done........

I am a big fan of gloom in any image, this is, too me, a fantastic image, very nice composition and the scene has been dissected by the horizon and the roads. So much interest in each area such as the buildings, the car parks, the clouds and the roads...... The image is crisp and clear. The light trails are there but do not overpower and the small touch of red and pink add focal points as well as many other parts within the scene........ Well cropped and nice portrait style with so much depth.......

Lovely scene, all the elements work together to make this simple view stand out. Lovely composition but the elements that stand out are the traffic light, the car lights, the lit windows and definitely the umbrellas are perfection....... The mix of colour points makes an interesting image and the light trail, though slight, work well and add much........

I have seen this done several times and better but this was the only entry of its kind and really works for the theme and is a unique entry... I love the curve of the vanishing point and the nice pastel delicate colours. I have not been able to do this myself but always wanted to..........

Lovely image, I always find boat light trails quite unique as it's not the norm in Light Trails........ Nice scene even without the trails, crisp clear image well composed and the trails just make this pop..... nice composition and strong leading lines.....

This image just failed to make the Top 10 but certainly deserves mention. I love the almost grunge urban feel to this, the almost selective colours and the great composition really stand out. Well done a brilliant image that will do well another time......

A unique and original version of light trails, yes planes have been done before but rarely in this manner. Some may not like the heavy harsh look of the blended images but when experimenting or thinking out of the box then I applaud you for going all out..... Love the heavy graphic harsh style, not sure about the chimneys but it gives you the explanation of what we are looking at, maybe just one chimney, well done.......

Sadly this image did not make the Top 10 but was very close. The light trail is simple but adds to the whole image with a few factors adding to make a wonderful scene. The Milky Way, the glow on the road, the lit landscape wonderful and very well composed and cropped. Several leading lines and vanishing points......... Clever

As part of the Judging Duties, I am required to comment on a non-awarded image and have selected this one to review....... The concept and composition are there but the light trails themselves do not stand out enough to compete against the other images. The image is very nice and is effective but needs something more to elevate it above the norm, please attempt this again and try for longer trails.......
