As you've said in your description, many people try to focus on boat light trails whilst staying in Amsterdam so it's nice to see something different. With no moving boats, the water has a nice smooth effect and the car coming towards you on the bridge makes the light trail pop out. The exposure is lovely, making the buildings and parked cars sharp and crisp. Really like this picture :)

Budapest is one of my favourite cities I have visited. The architecture around the city is stunning and the parliament building is probably the most famous of them all. The exposure is spot on, which brings out every little detail on the building, enhanced by the glowing backdrop. The long exposure also smooths out the Danube river which adds a little something to the foreground of the picture. Nice shot

There's no better city in the world for a wonder at night with your camera than good old London. Tower Bridge is always a favourite of mine and whilst many people try to shoot a long exposure on the bridge, it's nice to see one from a. different angle. The exposure is spot on with the light bulbs popping out and putting the image into black and white has made the bridge stand out from the city background. Really nice shot
I regret that my only night visit to Sydney is now a drunken New Years eve haze but from I do remember, sitting under the bridge watching the fireworks was certainly a bucket list tick for me. There's something magical about the harbour and you've captured it brilliantly here. Thank you for submitting :)

Although this view is a popular vocal point for many photographers visiting New York, you have managed to capture in in stunning fashion. The sunrise really does extra that extra wow factor to the picture. The sun bouncing off the buildings, with the contrast of the sky and water is really nice. The exposure is spot on as well causing the water to smooth out beautifully.

I love travelling to different cities across the world with a tripod in hand, to try and capture the feel of the place. Long exposures always offer an exciting challenge but if mastered then they show truly stunning results. You can submit pictures of the city using a long exposure taken either at night or in the day, in black and white or colour. Examples of things you could show in your long exposure city image are smooth, smokey water or light trails with traffic. If you can, please add the camera shooting details in the description to show the length of the exposure used in the photograph. Enjoy the contest.
