Macro Nature in Black and White

Congratulations on top 10. This just had to be up here for such an amazing capture. Not only have you captured a moment of nature, but you have captured it in such detail. Its a view we don't get to see often so to see it in such detail is amazing. Well done.

Congratulations on top 10. This is a wonderful macro image of a leaf. Firstly great idea on creating a reflection, the shape of the leaf works so well to create a very shapeful reflection. Secondly I like that its shot on a black background, it makes the little hairs on the leaf stand out. This image also has some lovely tones to it. Well Done.

Congratulations on 1st place. This photograph is amazing. Im actually scared of spiders and usually can look at them in a photo, but you have got such a good photograph of it, that I struggle to look and it strikes fear in me. Which in itself shows its a powerful images and very well taken. I think its because you have shot from low down, making the legs stand tall, and you use of depth of field really makes it stand out and almost gives it an effect like its running at you. Well done!

Congratulations on top 10! This is a very different image and you don't see many images of dead insects. But its definitely nature, in more than one way. Firstly being an insect and secondly showing the natural cycle of life, being death. The detail you have captured is amazing and I love the tones. Well done.

Congratulations on top 10. There was lots of flowers submitted in this contest, but yours stood out the most to me. I mostly love that the focus is on the details of the centre of the flower, after all with macro, details are important. With the image being black and white, sometimes it can be hard to get different parts of a flower to stand out against the rest of it. But here the middle really stands out. Beautiful image. Well done.
