**Open to photographers with a ranking outside the top 1000. There are two other 'Metal' contests currently open to other ranks. Take a look at the leaderboard for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** Metal ‘things’ – whether objects, vehicles, buildings or something else – are everywhere, but photographing them can be tricky, especially if they’re shiny and reflect their surroundings (including you and your camera!). But don’t be disheartened. There are plenty of techniques you can use to get the most from photographing things that are made out of metal, and plenty of creative approaches you can take.
