Minimalism is a style or technique characterised by extreme sparseness or simplicity. The minimalist approach requires a great deal of creative thinking, especially in the use of negative space which is integral to a minimalist shot. Deciding what to leave out is almost as important as deciding what to leave in. Many artists thrive in the openness of this concept, while others struggle with the lack of definition and direction.
