See the 'Brief in detail tab' for important entry requirements for this Canon-only contest
In this Canon-only contest - brought to you by PhotoPlus magazine - we’re asking for your images to fit our ‘Minimalism’ theme. We’re keeping things simple this month, so try to incorporate fewer items in your scene to deliver a more powerful message. Perhaps you’ve taken a portrait of a lone figure in a landscape or a tree surrounded in a sea of fog, or posts of a pier surrounded by water at the seaside.
A selection of judges’ favourite shots will be printed in an upcoming issue of PhotoPlus, the UK's most popular photography magazine for Canon users.
DO: Ensure your photo was taken on a Canon camera. Have EXIF data in your photo (or supply the camera settings in the info section). Provide a title for your photo. Write a description of the photo you're entering of at least 50 words to give us the background of what the image is of and how the it was taken. A little context can go a long way! Check your photo has a resolution of at least 3000 pixels on the longest edge of the photo as we will be printing our top picks in PhotoPlus magazine. DO NOT: Have a watermark on your photograph. Supply images taken on camera systems other than Canon. Submit low-resolution pictures.

Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
