Minimalism

Great winter scene and great use of the outdoor elements to set the tone and tell the story. The leading lines of the water's edge and the man walking are completely in sync here.

I really enjoyed this image so much. I kept coming back to it because of the textures, the framing, the negative space and even the little plate in the corner of the window just spoke to me. In my opinion, there is not much happening in terms of clutter in this image and yet all the elements convey a message. I love the curtain details that seem to fit so well with the tin frame...I really want to explore more inside this house - the image gives me that sense of curiosity

Beautiful use of colors and light (or lack of here). The jellyfish looks so unreal with all the blue and the black just brings it out even more. Great use of rule of thirds for minimalism here.

This is a great shot with lots of subtle elements. The lines and the curves of the architecture is beautiful and the person adds scale as well as a much need pop of color. All the elements work together for a great minimalistic frame with lots of negative space as well.

This image is such a perfect example of being in the right place at the right time. The colors fit so well together and even the lines of the building mesh with the circular frame of the bicycle wheels....subtle but the right amount of color pop

Great use of lines rather curves here. The colors of the skating ring as well as the sublet pops of color in the skater's outfit really bring up the story in a fantastic way. The light and shadows also add rather than competing for center focus with the subject

This looks like a painting! So cool...I love person in the water and how all the other elements support adding that focus point - the shoreline and the fog just add the right elements to tell the story keeping the theme of minimalism in mind!

I love bird photos of any kind and there is just something about this image that is very appealing. The colors of the bird and the ombre of the background really add to bringing the yellow of the bird in focus even more. Great shot

Architecture always makes great subject matter for minimalism when done right and I love the narrative here. The tones and the textures in the wall along with that window are striking and the dark shadow inside the window really bring out all the color so well. Very little going on here and that is just perfect!

I really like the minimalism in this image. All the elements - the sand the power lines and lack of any other subject convey so much. I am curious where this is, what is going on in the frame that we don't see...great use of the minimalism concept with color as well as subject.

I truly enjoy a great sunset and all the colors here are so perfect together. I only wish the plane was a bit bigger to bring all the elements together even more....but overall this is great use of tones and colors to convey minimalism.

This is such a serene moment - the fog, the greenery and even the people in the boat add to the stillness and that stillness to me showcasing minimalism in action...I know that might seem contradictory but everything here speaks to that notion of minimalism in action!
