Thank you for entering "Most beautiful bird you have ever seen". Flamingos are certainly on the list of most beautiful bird species, but showing them off at their best in photography can be tricky. This one, cleverly taken in soft, low lighting, draws the viewer in closer to the beauty of the plumage, which on a Flamingo is probably its best asset. The 'spotlight' on the plumes is clever. I also love the subdued colouring, which is very unusual and eye catching. Well done.
Thank you for entering "Most beautiful bird you have ever seen". The unmistakable vision of a Kingfisher. What a beautiful sight to behold. In my opinion, this is one of the most stunning birds of all. The vivid blue contrasting with the vivid orange, and the attitude oozes - as beautifully captured here. Congratulations for this pinpoint sharp, nicely composed entry, for the runner up spot!
Thank you for entering "Most beautiful bird you have ever seen". This image I believe is of a Knysna Turaco, a member of the turaco family of birds, indigenous of South Africa. What gorgeous colours, and the softness of the image is pleasing. I also like the delicacy of the tuft feather detail on its head, which gives it an almost comical touch, and I like the bokeh'd out background. This image does makes me say "what a beautiful bird".
Thanks for entering "Most beautiful bird you have ever seen". The lovely Cuckoo. I remember seeing and hearing cuckoos as a child every summer in the UK, many years ago. Sadly, these days, they are seldom seen or heard. With fully outstretched wings and tail, as shown here, one can enjoy the beauty of this wonderful long loved bird. May it thrive and come back in larger numbers one day. Congrats lovely shot.
Thank you for entering "Most beautiful bird you have ever seen". May I say this species of hummingbird is truly a stunningly beautiful bird as captured here. I think the watermark detracts from the image, but it gets into Top Ten for being such a beautiful bird, the colours are amazing, and the composition is very pleasing. Well captured.
