A superb interpretation of the brief. This skilfully captured image is a great depiction of motion captured. The figures frozen in mid air help to tell the story behind the image perfectly while the artistic use of motion blur adds context and dynamism to the picture. By composing the image so that the figures are slightly off-centre adds interest to the shot and we also really love the fact that the blurs still show some of the human form and facial expressions.

Not only does this show off the talent of the photographer, but it has also captured the sheer skill and agility of the athlete. This was created by taking multiple exposures of the gymnast's movements, freezing each stage, while maintaining a little motion blur to show the quickest moving parts of the body. We really like this image because it captures and displays the entire motion of the move and the very simple backdrop ensures that viewers are completely drawn to the red of his legs.

This image is a very well executed balloon pop that has been shot with a high-level of technical knowledge. Using a Triggertrap to fire the flash at the moment the airgun was detonated requires a great deal of skill, and knowing exactly where to position each piece of kit is key. We like the fact that you can see the whole journey and motion of the pellet and the reaction of the water. We also love the contrast between the dark black background and the bright blue balloon, which makes this image truly pop.
