The colours on this image are simply divine with every hue popping vibrantly without being oversaturated. The focus is spot on and the light works really well to highlight the eagle against the bokeh background. I'd consider using noise reduction software if you intend to reproduce this image on a larger scale to clean the background up.

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Animals’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Landscapes’.
I really like how this image works as an optical illusion as it certainly fooled me! It works well with this aspect ratio and the contrast pops well in black and white. I'd consider increasing the depth of field slightly more if attempted again to see if you can get the reflections in focus too, but this can be challenging with mirrors.
I really love the crop and perspective on this image as it works very well compositionally. The focus is crisp with the background not introducing any distracting elements. The colour palette is warm and aesthetically pleasing. I'd consider cropping out the blown highlights at the top corners of the image: this might be best achieved by changing the aspect ratio so you don't crop the edges of the gorilla out.
What a cracking view of this stunning Amur leopard! You've captured a great pose with the entire animal included and the focus looks great even when shooting through glass. The reflections are pretty minimal but sometimes a polarising filter or hiding under your coat against the glass can remove them entirely!

The composition on this image works really well, helped further by the low angle and adherence to the 'rule' of thirds. The colours in the background don't distract but instead add an additional element to the image. I'd consider reducing the exposure slightly to bring back some detail on the subject.
