New Joiners - Animals #541

October 2021

What an incredible image! I love the asymmetry and the focus and depth of field are absolutely spot on. The colour palette is natural and aesthetically pleasing and the composition is spot on. I'd consider giving the foxes ever so slightly more space on the edges, but this definitely isn't essential.

The perspective on this image is great and I love the use of a fish eye lens. The colour palette is gorgeous and natural, the exposure is spot on and the composition is well chosen due to the symmetry. A great image!

I really like how this image knits together and the grungy detail on the fur. It takes a moment to realise what you're looking at and sometimes that makes the best images at it forces people to investigate the entire image!

I love the light on this image: it works really well backlit with that gorgeous rim lighting. The composition is spot on with the owl looking and flying into the frame and the depth of field and focus are great.

I love the backlighting and etherial feel to this image: the foliage in the foreground almost acts as a natural frame and the bugs in the air add atmosphere. The colour is great and the depth of field is well chosen.

I love the framing of this image, paired with the high contrast which makes the pups face really pop from his surroundings. The depth of field and focus looks good and the composition is great, drawing you into the image.

I love the composition on this image: you managed to achieve almost perfect symmetry which isn't easy with wildlife. The colour palette and light is sublime and I love the angle you've chosen to shoot from as it gives a completely different result.

What an incredible capture! I love how well the foliage frames this bat and the lighting is absolutely fantastic, showing every intricate detail in his wing membrane. You chose your depth of field well to maximise the chances of capturing this image.

The colour palette on this image is absolutely gorgeous and I love the low angle which works well to draw you into the image. The focus and depth of field are great and despite the tiger looking out of the frame, it still works.

I really like how much the eyes pop from this image and it works really well in black and white. Whilst the image works in this orientation I'd strongly consider rotating it to portrait as it will work even better!

Water Rails can be tricky to see and capture so this image is truly fabulous. I love how clean the background is and you've captured the action perfectly, with slight motion blur in the wings emphasising the speed of movement.

I love the shallow depth of field in this image as it draws your attention instantly to the eyes. The composition is spot on with following the rule of thirds and it works really well with the low angle to remove any distractions from the floor.

The colour palette on this image is incredible, both in the background and also on this stunning Bee-eater. The branch acts as a leading line and I love the slight blur on the wings, paired with the sharp head and body.

You've captured a cheeky side to this Brown Hare and I love the warm colour palette. The composition is good and the shallow depth of field ensures the hare isn't lost in his surroundings. Try to focus on the eye or head wherever possible.
