New Joiners - Animals #546

November 2021

I really love what you’ve captured here as it’s quite unique behaviour of a species that is often overlooked or undervalued with wildlife photography. The colour palette is natural, the lighting is fabulous with nothing blown or underexposed and the black background really helps to isolate them.

I really love the low angle on this image as it really helps with both the aesthetic perspective but also the shallow depth of field isolates the subject. The colour palette is warm and the composition works really well to draw you in.

The pose on this handsome koala is fabulous, compatible almost to a wise old gentleman! I love the soft focus in the background which isolates him fabulously and the exposure and focus are spot on, with no blown highlights or shadows.

I really like the composition in this image and how well you've focused on the eyes. I'd consider cropping in slightly from the top left to get the coyote to look into the frame more and try to be subtle on saturation when processing your images to keep them natural.

You've chosen this composition well as the symmetry works well with the subject centralised. The exposure is spot on and I like the shallow depth of field as it really helps to isolate her from her surroundings. The focus is crisp and perfectly on the eyes.

The composition on this image is lovely with the subject looking into the frame along with a nice natural frame from the foreground foliage. The focus is good and the shallow depth of field helps to isolate the subject. I'd consider increasing the exposure slightly.

The colours on this image are so perfectly vibrant without being overdone and I love how well the butterfly pops. I'd consider cropping in from the left to remove the white plastic and also to give the image an even more aesthetically pleasing composition.

What a handsome highland cow! The colour palette on this image is warm and aesthetically pleasing and helps to add to the atmosphere. The focus looks crisp and sharp and the shallow depth of field helps to isolate the subject against a textured background.

The lioness silhouette in the background adds an additional element to this image and I love how well you've composed the shot. The focus looks crisp and I like the shallow depth of field to help isolate the main subject.
