The shallow depth of field in this image works really well to draw you into the eyes and I think you chose well with black and white as it enhances the contrast and details. I'd consider cropping in slightly from the left to get the subject to look into the frame more.

It can often be ill advised to centralise your subject in photography but there are certain circumstances where it works well. You've done a great job here and the asymmetry is fantastic, as well as having a narrative and context.

The blue hues on this image really pop and help the dragonfly stand out from his surroundings. the shallow depth of field helps to ensure that no distracting elements are introduced from the background and the finer details on the subject really pop.

The hollow in the tree works incredibly well in this image, creating a natural frame and drawing you in. I love how the subtly blue eye on the jackdaw pops and despite it being a bright day, you've done well with the exposure.

Variety is the spice of life and wildlife photography is no exception. Being able to show behaviours and a narrative in your images is incredibly important when developing a portfolio and this image boasts both behaviour and beauty, with an aesthetically pleasing colour palette and fantastic subjects!

I love the low angle and perspective on this image as it really helps to draw you into the main subject and removes any distractions or irrelevant details. Snails are sometimes overlooked when it comes to photography but you've shown here that they have attitude and beauty!

This image has incredible atmosphere and depth and really tells a narrative. I love the muted colour palette as it adds to the image and centralising this handsome bull works really well. I would personally consider increasing the exposure ever so slightly but saying that, the darker exposure does add to the mood.

What a fantastic capture! I love how you've frozen this moment of chaos with a perfect shutter speed and depth of field. The exposure and focus is good but I'd consider straightening out the ground to match a horizon, as well as possibly cropping in slightly from the right to centralise the composition a bit more.

When it comes to composition, centralising your subject can be advised if you have some form of symmetry. I love the expression on this handsome boy and despite a cluttered background, the shallow depth of field removes any risk of this being distracting. I'd consider cropping slightly from the right to fully centralise him.

The colour palette on this image is simply divine, with fantastic contrast and natural vibrance that hasn't been over processed. The aspect ratio works really well here and the composition, whilst the subject is ever so slightly centralised, still works well and shows that the 'rules' are actually only guidelines that are made to be broken!

I like how the leaves and branches in the foreground act as a natural frame in this image, drawing you into the handsome subject. The muted colour palette works well but be cautious with post-processing as overdoing it it can sometimes lead to artefacts and distortion.

The shallow depth of field on this image really helps to draw viewers into the eyes and almost form a connection with the subject. The eyes are pin sharp and I love how vibrant and yet natural the colour palette is.

What a fantastic low key image! I love how well this egret pops from the image and even the dark legs and feet. The composition is good with the subject looking into the frame & that subtle warm colour palette is aesthetically pleasing.

The red on the eye of this drongo really stands out from the surroundings and draws you in fabulously. The clean background and foreground ensures there are no distracting elements to draw you away and the subtle colours and vibrance in his plumage is eye catching and beautiful.
