I love the simplicity on this image with the wooden posts acting as a leading line to draw you into the main subjects. The monochrome colour palette works well and isn't overly processed which makes it much more aesthetically pleasing.

I love how well the light catches the eye on this elegant cormorant with beautiful colour and vibrance. The composition is good with the subject and body looking into the frame with no distracting elements to draw your attention away.

I absolutely adore the subtle light and colour palette on this image and the low angle works really well to draw you in. The composition is spot on with no distracting elements to draw you away and the hint of reflection in the foreground is lovely.

I love this portrait! The light is fantastic as it ensures there's no harsh highlights, shadows or contrast in the image and the focus and depth of field are spot on. The composition is great with good symmetry despite him looking out of the frame.

Whilst this image is a little darker than I'd usually prefer, it works well to add to the atmosphere in this image. I love how the light that is available shines off the eyes and his expression is gorgeous, paired with a great composition.

I love the posture and expression on this meerkat and the composition is good with the subject looking into the frame and drawing you in. When working with captive subjects the surroundings aren't always the most aesthetically pleasing so it can be worth decreasing the depth of field to minimise distractions.

I love the light on this image as it adds a beautiful gloss and shine to the ladybird. I love the simplicity of the two main strands of grass which help lead you into the main subject, along with great contrast on the colours.

This image is fantastic with great high key qualities. The composition is fantastic and I love how the contrast is subtle and yet it still pops so well and you've chosen wisely to go with black and white to highlight this even further.

The shallow depth of field in this image works really well to draw you into that stunning amber eye on the sheep. The low angle is great and I like the subtle, almost pastel colour palette. It's always difficult with moving subjects, but moving ever so slightly to your right would've caused the sheep to block that red building in the back and therefore remove a distraction.

Images like this can be incredibly effective as they often force people to stop and spend a little bit of time figuring out what they're actually looking at. When they realise, the image is even more gripping and fascinating and you've successfully achieved that here.

I love the warm colour palette on this image and it helps to accentuate this horses gorgeous coat colour. The focus and depth of field are spot on and the composition is good, although if it's a crop I'd consider trying to fully centralise the head due to the symmetry.

You've used the legs of the cow to frame this image really well and I love how you have two calves in the image each boasting their own unique expressions. The exposure is great with no blown highlights or lost shadows.

You've used the shallow depth of field really well here to isolate this stunning iguanas against a rocky backdrop. I love how well the pink pops and contrasts on their skin and you've nailed the composition by centralising them rather than putting them to the side.

The colours in the sky on this image are absolutely stunning and it works really well with the silhouette of the dog. Whilst it's usually recommended to get the subject to look into the frame, it still works well in this image despite being more centralised.

Wildlife and animal photography that has an instant narrative are often some of the most compelling and gripping. The shine in the subjects eyes is beautiful but behind it is an expression that could often be considered sad or uncertain.
