Most animal photography is taken with telephoto lenses and long focal lengths, but you can never discount what a wider perspective can produce. I love the intimacy, angle, and depth in this frame and it's worthy of exploration thanks to the wide angle. The contrasting level of interest between the two Camels also supports appeal.
I really enjoy emotional images and this one pulls at the heart strings. The black and white conversion works well here as it brings more focus to the elephants and away from the surrounding foliage which can be distracting in color. The positioning of the subjects works well and a rare instance when walking away from the camera is a plus.
For me, this capture is all about the behavior and the light. The pastel reflections in the water work well with the Sanderling's drab coloring and the clam shell is indicative of this bird's preferred environment and foraging style. The shell provides balance to the bird's placement in the frame as well.
Such a thoughtful image that's pleasing to the eye and also tells a story of coexistence! The centered composition is bold and I appreciate how the tire tracks are used to provide framing for the subject. The bear silhouette provides great contrast to the rest of the frame. A winning image!

I find blue and gold to be complimentary colors and that combination is in full effect here and working well!. This poor fish has obviously seen better days and it's interesting to see how the scavengers blend in perfectly with the surrounding sand. Even in death this fellow knows its fate based on the expression.

Humor is a strong tool and you can't underestimate the comedic factor when it comes to quality imagery. I can't help but think this sheep is saying "wazzup", akin to a famous beer commercial some years back. Perhaps it was responding in kind to the photographers per the story. Definitely a crowd pleaser.
I appreciate animal photographs that take advantage of common and confiding subjects such as these geese. There's a connection between both subjects based on their placement in the frame. I also like the human element incorporation here. The goose in the foreground appears to be passing judgement on the distant building and that might be a good thing.
Brown bears can be incredible when it comes to fishing, but they don't always come up with a prize evidently. It looks like this individual either found a piece of wood or something that's seen better days. Either way, it's worth a proper sniff and inspection before any quick decisions are made. A cool moment captured by the photographer.
