The shallow depth of field ensures that we're drawn into those striking eyes and the detail you've captured on the nose and whiskers is fabulous too. This image could work even better with a tighter crop on the face due to how close the left ear is to the edge of the frame.

The intricate detail you've captured on the feathers and face is fantastic and you've got great separation between the kingfisher and the background to enhance this further. I'd recommend cropping in from the top left corner to get the subject to look into the frame rather than centralising them.

The shallow depth of field is fantastic here as it really enhances the detail on the wings. The red and purples stand out with great contrast. I'd consider cropping from the top right corner to get the subject to look into the frame.

The composition is fantastic on this image and I love how the surroundings frame the subject so well. The legs act as a leading line to draw you into the image and I love how well the colour pops against the desaturated surroundings.

This image works well with the snakes head and mouth ever so slightly to the left of centre so it's still technically looking into the frame but you're also able to appreciate some of the symmetry in the mouth and jawline.

You've composed this image so well, in spite of it technically breaking some 'rules' with the subject looking out of the image. The natural frame captured from the shadow and the rocks really isolates the subject and draws you, even with a relatively consistent colour palette.

One thing that can completely change any images of animals is capturing their personality and you've done that so well here. I love the composition and the short focal length gives us a good context of the surroundings whilst still ensuring we're drawn to the subject rather than distracted.

I really like the almost judgemental stare you've captured from this lizard with a great pose. The colour contrast is fantastic and I like how the foliage in the right foreground helps to give some depth to the image. I'd consider a very minor crop from the left.

This image has so much atmosphere and goes to show that a phone is capable of taking great images. I like the composition due to its unique nature and the dog really pops from the image due to the contrast.

Using a shallow depth of field has enhanced the detail we can appreciate in the eye and around the face and whilst the nose is slightly out of focus, it still retains enough detail to not be a distracting 'error'.

The notable contrast between the brown and whites on this image works so well to grab your attention and I love the white eyelashes, with such intricate detail captured thanks to good focusing and a well chosen depth of field.

Hummingbirds can sometimes be tricky to photography but I love how you've managed to get the light leaking through the wings and tail on this image, with a nice clean background. It can be hard to expose a subject with such contrast but try not to blow highlights wherever possible.

The rocks in this image are so dramatic and intriguing and I love how, whilst you don't necessarily have a contrast of colour, the dog pops so well from the image given the darker shade. The composition is lovely and I really like the context of the surroundings.
