This is an outstanding portrait with incredible detail in the feathers and bill of the Pelican. The light enhances the feathers beautifully, while the dark or low key background isolates the subject and gives it a striking presence. I love how the eye anchors the image, providing both sharpness and personality.

This is another comical, yet striking portrait of ta Fallow Deer. The symmetry of the antlers immediately commands attention and provides a nice contrast to the humorous expression on the face. I love the soft detail in the fur and the natural tones of the background that keep the focus on the subject.

The vibrant colors of these Rainbow Lorikeets are absolutely stunning, and the pairing together on the branch creates a tender, almost storybook moment. I love how their feathers contrast so vividly against the muted background, allowing them to really pop. The diagonal tree limbs add texture and depth, while the birds’ interaction brings warmth and charm.

The soft background really makes the Langur stand out beautifully on the branch. I love how the textured bark and foliage frame the subject naturally. The direct gaze draws you in, giving the image both intimacy and strength. A truly striking wildlife portrait. There's a sense of mood in the atmosphere as well. Great work!

This is a wonderful capture that highlights the classic alert posture of the Meerkat. The raised stance on the mound against the soft, clouded background makes the subject stand out beautifully. I love the texture in the fur and the earthy tones of the rock. You get the impression it knows a storm is approaching.

This is such a lively and dynamic capture, full of energy. The sharp detail in the pigeon contrasts nicely with the soft, green background, while the droplets of water frozen in midair add a sense of action and movement. The out of focus leaves on the left side of the frame are not optimal, but do not distract from the overall moment.

This is a beautifully serene capture, with the duck resting quietly in a pool with vibrant and cool reflections. I love how the water creates painterly textures that contrast against the sharp detail of the bird. The mirrored reflection adds to the image as well as the water drops with careful inspection.

This is such a delicate and well timed photograph. The soft green and out of focus background provides no distraction for both the Goldfinch and the textured thistles. I like the unusual pose of the bird feeding upside down, which adds a playful element. A vertical composition was also the right call based on the overall scene.

This is a detailed capture of a Great Blue Heron in its natural, wet environment. The textures of the feathers stand out due to the strong lighting. The surrounding greenery and reflections in the water may seem busy, but they give the viewer a sense of the bird's preferred environment.

This is an interesting close-up or macro shot that immediately draws the eye into the flower’s vibrant golden tones. The lines radiating outward almost feel abstract, creating a slight sense of depth. I love how the bee is positioned within the scene as it's a simple composition that feels intimate.

What an incredible moment captured! The symmetry of the pride all lined up at the water’s edge is both powerful and rare. The reflection across the calm surface adds another layer of interest. This feels like an image straight from a storybook. While the quality of the image isn't perfect, the moment makes up for it.

This is a dramatic and artistic capture. The glowing orange haze creates a surreal backdrop, while the silhouette of the elephant under the tree feels powerful through its ability to adapt. The lifted trunk adds motion and energy, making this frame notable. It could've been in further contention if the crop was better executed.

This is a dynamic action capture of an African Fish Eagle catching a fish. The timing is perfect with the splash of water and the fish firmly grasped in its talons right after the moment of impact. The photographer used good sharpness techniques here with focus landing on the entire bird and its prey.

This is such a vibrant and creative capture. The yellow petals frame the Moth perfectly, while the raindrops on the glass add depth and texture while diffusing the background. I love how the soft light makes the wings almost translucent. A beautifully artistic mix of nature, creativity, and compositional detail.
