What a spectacular image, with everything you could possibly want to create narrative, context, impact and intrigue. I love the layers and depth created by the wide angle and low perspective and the herdwick punches out of the image due to the contrast.

The light and colours in this image really helps to naturally frame these lovely macaques, aided further still by the barbed wire fencing which also gives us some context of the scenario this was taken in. I'd consider a tiny bit more of a crop but this is a personal preference.

Looking down on your subject, when done well can transform an image which you've achieved here. I love how the edges of the path with the grass peeping through the snow acts as a natural frame with those gorgeous eyes and face staring down the barrel of the lens.

What a beautiful animal and that direct eye contact makes the image, helped further with that sultry pose and nice separation. Whilst the exposure has blown slightly on the body, this was a necessary evil to ensure the face was well exposed.

This image has such character and draw, obviously due in part to the comedic expression on the Red panda but also due to the natural framing created by the two branches and great contrast. I'd consider cropping ever so slightly more to remove that gap to the left of the tree whilst still keeping the subject centralised.

Capturing a group of animals effectively in one image can be quite the challenge, but I think you've done fantastically well here. I love the spray of the water and numerous oxpeckers in flight or working their way through the crowd.

You've captured such lovely detail on the plumage here, with great colour punching through the image without being over processed. I'd consider a crop to move the subject to the right of the frame, therefore looking into the image rather than out.

The depth of field and bokeh here are spot on, with no distracting elements in the image to draw our attention away. That blue eye, paired with the vibrant pinks really helps keep us fixed on the image, whilst exploring every fine detail on the feathers.

I love the depth and perspective you've captured here and with that lovely light and reflection in the water too. Whilst the image works in colour, it would also be a great candidate for black and white due to the contrast.

What a fascinating animal that the vast majority of us (myself included) could easily miss whilst out and about. The lighting is brilliant here with such detail on the exoskeleton, eyes and perch and I like that you've chosen a square aspect ratio.

This image shows once and for all that you don't need 'a lot' in an image to make it impactful. I love the simplicity from the millpond smooth water and the contrast the waves create against this. On top of this, you've photographed a subject that is often overlooked, showing all species have potential for great wildlife photography.

The detail you've captured on the eyes here is spectacular with amazing reflections. The black background with such colour and detail in the foreground ensures the subject pops from the image well. I'd consider a square aspect ratio as an alternative here.

Such exceptional contrast and context has been captured here, with those beautiful mountains in the background, paired with great atmosphere from the stormy clouds. The layers draw you in one by one with the deer very clearly taking centre stage.

I really love the detail in this image, with such fine and almost tactile textures in the feathers and eye. The light works well to highlight that eye, with the gorgeous amber and brown colours standing out even more with the slight reflection.

This image, however 'simple' has such a fantastic impact and narrative, without a single word spoken. I love the layers and framing with nature contrasted against man. This image would be a great candidate for black and white but colour works too!
