I like the reflections in this photo, It's a place I've visited a few times myself but never managed to see it still enough for reflections. I'd maybe reconsider the framing a little if you get to shoot a scene like this again, giving the trees some room to breathe at the top of the image would really elevate this shot!
I really really like this photo, it's got loads to look at and keep your interest all the way through. The patterns in the sand are really striking and the lack of footprints is always nice to see at popular locations like this. The mountains are framed well and the sky looks nice and moody. The low sun has cast lovely light over the scene too, topping off a really good image! A worthy winner!

I like the contrast between the fiery sky and the cold dark foreground, it almost looks apocalyptic! It's quite often the case that skies like this happen when you don't expect them to! I can't recall ever seeing a photo from the Teide National Park with snow so it's nice to see something a little different!
Holy Island is one of my local haunts and somewhere I've photographed a lot, you've done a nice job here. I like the mono treatment, and its framed well. If I was to be super critical I'd maybe have spot healed the dark patch of cloud top left as it does distract the eye a little but it's still a really nice image!

Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.
I like that this is taken in a residential area yet it still conveys a feeling of being in a winter wonderland like Sweden or Norway. It's a shame there are so many footprints however that's not your fault and can't be helped! The natural tunnel created by the overhanging trees looks great with a covering of snow.
Tree shots are difficult and often cluttered, it's not easy to find a composition without distractions but you've done a pretty good job here. There's always going to be a chaos of sorts to woodland shots but the muted treatment and vignette have made the chaos seem somewhat more organised. A nice shot and well worth a spot in the top 10.
