New Joiners - Landscapes #506

Yet another well executed image in beautiful light entered into the new joiners competition. I cant fault this image at all but it would have been nice for the photographer to add somer details or story to the image. Congratulations none the less.

Wow, what an amazing bridge! I have to say this image strikes a little bit of fear into me as I'm not great with heights! It is however a very striking image and one thats very well taken and processed.

This is quite a striking image and was just outside my top 10 on this occasion. This image has certainly been expertly shot and the processing has been really well handled. Congratulations on such a striking shot and I hope to see more of the same on photocrowd.

I think this is one of the only drone shots I've seen in these new joiner comps so far, and what a lovely image it is. The textures and colour of the rock against that crystal clear aqua coloured water is just beautiful.

Now this is one of my favourite vista images I've seen entered into these competitions so far. The composition and colour palette are just beautiful and I congratulate the photographer for his nice approach to the processing, this could have easily been pushed too far, but they have done a lovely job.

What an amazing image! Ive judged a few of these competitions now and the standard of some of the images is really high, none more so than this image. I love the detail in the ice which is beautifully lit by the soft low light.

This is a really nice image and was a little unfortunate not to make my top ten. The main reason I didn't chose this for the top ten was I found the image resolution to be a little bit too small for viewing. I'd have love to have seen this a little bit bigger so I could see the details more clearly.

A lovely bright exposure of this popular tree caught my attention while judging. This is extremely well shot and nicely processed withe a subtle touch. I'd have liked a little bit more information about the shot from the photographer, but its a beautiful image.

I kept coming back to this image as I was unsure on the colours when I first looked at it, but it's grown on my since. The 3 figures on top of the dunes give a great sense of scale and the clear blue sky helps to not over complicate the image. Congratulations.

Snow, mist, trees... it's a winter wonderland and my idea of heaven! A great image with bags of atmosphere and one that had to make my top ten. The scene is nicely balanced using the rule of thirds and is very pleasing to the eye.

Another great image taken on a phone which really does show you how good phone photography has become. The light and reflections in this shot are just beautiful and it could easily have been taken with a modern DSLR, a really impressive capture.

A lovely panoramic image and another that was extremely close to making my top 10. The colours are lovely and the scene is very nicely shot. Yosemite is certainly a bucket list location for many photographers and this image demonstrates why.

This is the first real urban landscape I've seen in these new joiners competitions so far. I really like the composition of this shot and the punchy use of colour really suits the scene. What i would say is the sun position and the bright sky hasn't helped and has made it difficult to retain the details in the sky.
