Now this image might not be many peoples cup of tea, but I absolutely love it. Simplistic scenes like this are often extremely difficult to achieve. Compositionally it's spot on with the lone seagull grabbing the attention of the viewer as it gazes towards the camera. It's an unusual but well balanced image and it certainly caught my eye. Congratulations.

Wow, what a stunning scene! This was an image that was on the fringes of placing in the top 10 this week but ultimately it just fell outside (in 11th place). I love the image composition but my initial thoughts were it was a little too saturated. It's still a stunning image.

This extremely well executed night time image from the Liverpool docks grabs third place in this weeks comp. I love the framing on this shot and it's good to see the photographer hasn't just gone for a longer shutter speed as so many would in this scenario. The use of higher ISO has helped to capture so much more detail in the scene.

Compositionally this image was one of the best in this weeks competition. I love the reflections in the well placed pools leading the viewer into the image. I would have maybe cropped the image so the horizon wasn't central and there wasn't so much sky. Overall though I really liked this shot.

I absolutely love the composition of this image and it's clear to see the photographer has a very good eye. Stepping to the side and capturing the bamboo in the immediate foreground really ads a great since of depth. The one thing I will say is the photo could be straightened a little by rotating anti-clockwise slightly.

What a beautifully captured scene from the Swiss Alps. The image is nicely balanced and the basic light room adjustments were all that was needed for such a wonderful photograph. The timing one the shot feels well considered with the tram moving into the frame from the bottom left. Well done.

This image is right up my street and was always going to place high in this weeks New Joiners competition. It's an extremely well seen and composed image, I also love the panoramic crop giving the scene a nice balanced amount of breathing space. Congratulations.

What stunning conditions in this beautiful image. The tones in this image are what impressed me most, I love the brighter colours here and they have been processed really nicely without losing any detail. Another image that was close to my top 10 and one I kept coming back to. Well done.

I love a good ICM (intentional camera movement) image and this shot grabbed my attention straight away. Theres just a good amount of movement in this ICM, retaining some nice shapes while creating an abstract. I personally would have crapped the whiter part of the sky, but overall its an excellent ICM.

I love this shot! I love the subject, the composition and I love the warm tones. Now what I will say here to the photographer is if this is local to you then try some long exposures. Tampa Bay is a goldmine for scenes like this which really suit the minimal long exposure style.

A very atmospheric image here and a very worthy entry into my top ten. Its a very simple image but one that speaks to me with bags of mood. The people walking in the low lying mist ads to the drama, along with the steely blue tones.

I love a good shipwreck image and this is a fantastic one. The colour scheme is what drew me to this image with the earthy tones of the weed and grass really working in harmony with the warm light seeping into the frame from the top left. Beautifully captured.

Another beautifully balanced mountainscape entered into this weeks competition. The light here is lovely and the soft vignette really draws you into the image. I really would have loved to have had some more info on this fabulous photo, please consider writing a few lines of info if you enter it into any more competitions.

I was in two minds whether to add this photo to the top 10. The photo itself is excellent, and worthy on it's own right, but I'd really like to have seen some details about the image. Without any details I don't know where or how the shot was taken and this is a great shame.
