I like the colours in this, boosting the saturation a little has worked in your favour here, I also love the colour of the sea! Looking at your settings, I'm wondering why you chose f4 as your aperture. Looking at the scene, if you'd closed down your aperture 2 stops to f8 you'd have still had a shutter speed of 1/160th which at 70mm is plenty to still get a sharp image, especially with the VC on. The narrower your aperture, the greater your depth of field will be and you'll have better sharpness throughout the image!

I like the textures and shapes in the sand here, the bright sun has given you some deep shadows which really help the image. Had this been shot without those contrasting elements it definitely wouldn't work as well! Nicely done.

Visiting the USA is something I'm yet to do, but when I go I'd love to visit some spots like this. I like how you've included a reflection. I think had you omitted that then the image would lack interest, not that it's a boring subject by any stretch of the imagination what I mean is that you'd have had a huge expanse of red ground and then the red rocks, so by including the water and reflection you've broken up the red/orange and added another dynamic to the image. Nicely done,

I've a fond memory of visiting Janet's Foss, slipping and managing to submerge myself in 3ft of water with only my camera safe in the air! I like the water movement in this, 5 seconds is a reasonable shutter speed, realistically any longer and you get exactly the same effect but with no real difference in the image. If this was mine, I'd maybe darken it down a little, or give it a slight vignette but that's just personal preference. I still really like it :)

Bohinj has a special place in my heart, it's such a wonderful place to visit. I totally get where you are coming from regarding finding peace there! I like the composition here, it's not often you'll see a shot from this side, most shots are from over near the church so it's nice to see a different angle. Nicely exposed, and good use of the rocks to anchor your foreground. Nice job.

I chose this as my number one as soon as I saw it. It's brilliant, I love the simplicity of it. Hoar frost on trees always looks good but couple it with the fog it just looks stunning. I'd be over the moon if this was my shot. Well done.

This is a wonderful image, it's got everything. The colours are fantastic, the composition is nice, the water movement looks awesome and the sky is full of action. Kinda wish I was stood there too! Really nicely done, great job.

Compositionally this is epic! I love the layers, including the figure was a great shout too as it definitely adds a dynamic aspect to the image. I do think you've overdone the colours a bit during processing, the sky looks a tad unnatural and unbalanced so could maybe be toned down a little. Still, a lovely shot and a fantastic memory I'm sure!

I think you have a potentially really good image here, the colour processing and handling of the highlights let it down slightly though. I'd maybe have another look at it in post-processing, reducing the overall exposure by say 10%/15% and lower the saturation too. I think you'll have a much stronger image for it. I really like the composition and the copse of trees adds a really nice element!

A nice simple image, compositionally it works really well. It's balanced, nicely processed and has a great sense of isolation. There are one or two dust spots that need attention in the sky, you'll really notice these if you shoot at apertures like f18, also using ISO 50 is counterproductive as your camera is artificially altering the ISO so you lose around a stop of dynamic range. I suspect had you shot this at ISO100 then your sky wouldn't have been blown out on the left-hand side!

I really like this, it looks like a spectacular place to be and photograph. One small piece of advice, try and make sure that your water horizon line is level, it makes a big difference to the look of the image!

This is lovely, ordinarily I'm not a fan of letterbox crops but this one works really nicely. The colours in the sky are good and you've processed it sympathetically, taking care not to overdo the saturation etc. I'd maybe have liked a little more room at the bottom as the tree on the left 3rd looks a bit close to the bottom of the frame but that's just a minor point, it's still a really nice photo.

I like the look of this, it's nice and serene. Nice water movement, good colour in the sky and a pleasing composition. I think if a photo makes you want to go to that spot then you've succeeded and this one makes me want to go there so good job!
