This has to take the top spot, it's beautiful. Aurora is a weird one to photograph, as choosing a composition that isn't just sky can be tricky. You've done well here including the house. I like the shapes of the lights and although the shape is out of your control you've used a short shutter speed to capture it and freeze it. Nicely done

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.
I love this, such a simple composition and great use of negative space. The exposure is perfect, I'm glad you decided not to clone out the sheep, they fit well. There looks to be some banding in the sky, perhaps introduced in post-processing? Keep an eye on that, as you'll really notice it if you print images off.

Wow, what a view! This looks like a fantastic place to visit, I'd have been tempted to shoot here with a telephoto, the layers in the distance are beautiful. I think your processing has been a little heavy-handed, the colours are very strong and have become over saturated, especially so in the top left of the sky. Keep an eye on this!
This has the potential to be a really strong image, there's a couple of small points to consider if you don't mind me pointing them out? I like the use of the shallow depth of field, it's creative and looks good. Keep an eye on your horizon, when shooting water it needs to be level. The main thing I noticed is the old pier and the poles are both very close to the edge of the photo. Try and give your subject a little more room, as you have a space between them where there's nothing. I'd maybe have been tempted to move a metre to the left so they were closer together in the frame!
