A nice take on a well shot place. I'm not sure I've seen too many night shots, I'm sure they're out there but generally it's daytime shots that are touted about. Nice composition and it's good you got some decent reflections, I actually like the low water level as well. Nicely done

Well, Charlie and you look like you enjoyed a lovely sunset at the beach. What fantastic colours and those reflections are great. When shooting at the beach, try and make sure that you have your horizon level as it makes a huge difference to the overall look of the photo!!

This looks great, it's not very often that there are ice slices like this on Derwentwater so it must have been super cold! It's nicely exposed and plenty to look at. I'd maybe have either cropped it slightly to lose the post on the right or taken a step to the left and tilted right a tad to include a bit more of it.

I'm not sure hats happened with the processing here but there's loads of banding and halos in the sky which has ruined it. Compositionally this is really nice, and the water movement looks good. I'd maybe revisit the processing and see if you can remedy the sky.

I like the composition here, there's plenty to look at but it doesn't feel crowded. Cornwall has a great coastline, you're lucky to live down there! There's a small amount of chromatic aberration on the dark cliff edge but as it's a phone pic it's to be expected, it doesn't really spoil the image though. Nice job overall.

This is really incredible image, the composition is spot on and it's perfectly exposed. The water is just right as well. just enough to give a sense of movement but not too much. You've processed it really well too. There's nothing I don't like about this image so it was easy to pick it as number one. Well done :)

This is an epic location, every time I see photos from here it makes me want to visit more. I like your composition here, it's nice and even and well balanced. I think you could maybe boost the contrast a bit as it looks a tad flat. Good job getting a shot without people in, it's always difficult at popular locations!

I love this as it reminds me of my trip to the Mara in Kenya a couple of years ago, the sunrises and sunsets were like this most days. Ordinarily, shooting straight at the sun doesn't work but this looks great. Really nice job.

I like your composition here and for a phone shot it's pretty good. I do think the colours are a bit strong and there's some strange banding in the sky on the right, maybe lower the saturation a bit and see if that helps. Nice job though and it looks like a pretty cool place to explore.

I'm not generally a fan of cityscapes but I love the colours in this. It's nicely composed too. I like the trees planted on the roofs, people making use of whatever space they have for gardens! I also like the hint of light from the shops, telling me there's bustling vibrant streets down below!

This is pretty sweet, the colours are great and it looks like a fantastic place to watch the sunset/sunrise. I think you could have maybe cropped this to 16:9 and lost some off the left and still had a fantastic image. Nice job overall :)

This is absolutely fantastic, what a stunning view. I'd never heard of Lake Agnes before this shot so thank you for introducing me to it, it looks incredible! I like your composition here, there's plenty to look at and it doesn't feel crowded. It's nicely exposed too. Good job :)

This is great, really nice. I love the seemingly never ending countryside and having the sun out just makes all the colours pop. There's loads to look at and it's well framed. The sky is a bit blown out but as it's only a small slice of the image it doesn't really distract.

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.

This is a pretty nice scene, I like the organised chaos of the shot. There's loads going on and yet it still looks relatively calm. I think you could have cropped some of the sky off and had a slightly better-balanced image, I'd also be tempted to cheat a little and put a radial filter on the sun and warm it up a bit!
