I love the mood and atmosphere in this, it reminds me of visiting scotland in the autumn/winter. The long exposure has worked well smoothing out the water and the cool tones add to the moody look. The tree could do with a little more room at the top of the image, a small critique in an otherwise fantastic shot.

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.
What a fantastic view, drones do give a very unique perspective and seeing Loch Leven from up above is nice. It's not very often we see shots from down this way either, they're almost exclusively from Glencoe or the Ballachulish area. I love the composition and the way the waterline almost points to the corners, it's framed really well and the low cloud hanging around the tops balances it nicely. Great job :)
I love the mood in this! The shutter speed is perfect, just enough to give a sense of movement but not so much that it turns it into a blur. Your composition is strong too, anchoring the foreground with the rocks but still having interest in the sky and background. If I have any critique it's that the vignette is maybe a little heavy, still a nice shot though :)

A great black and white conversion, it's good to see one with a load of contrast rather than a flat grey conversion with no depth. Keep an eye on your horizons, the waterline slopes to the left and when shooting water it's really noticeable. Nice use of long exposure too, it really adds to the image.
What a lovely peaceful view, I like the reflections in the water and the colours in the trees are nice. The thought behind your composition is good, when framing your image try to consider symmetry, if you'd stepped to the right maybe half a foot and crouched down a little I think you'd have a more balanced image!
I think this is pretty cool, and if it's your first landscape photo then you're on the right track. If you like photographing water, get yourself a tripod. It'll allow you to take your time and get sharper shots. The water looks great here, as do the colours. Be conscious of dangling branches poking into the image as they can really be distracting!
Lovely colours, and you've done a pretty good job of balancing the exposure too. As you've said, it's difficult to manage the dynamic range when there is such a contrast between the highlights and shadows, maybe a graduated filter on its side or 45-degree angle could have helped you out a little, allowing you to darken the sky and lighten the foreground a little :)
This looks like an awesome location, like something off King Kong or Jurassic Park! The low mist shrouding the cliffs is great, adding loads of mood and atmosphere. Nice composition too, it's framed well and doesn't look unbalanced. The greens/yellows are maybe a little oversaturated but it's still a decent shot! :)

Alpine lakes are always great to visit and photograph, the colour of the water in them is amazing. I've had a spy at this location on google and it looks fantastic. I like the light beams streaming across the mountain tops, the tree in the very top right is a little distracting but it's still a nice image.
