Seeing photos from here always makes me weak at the knees, I'm not sure I could stand that close to such a drop. Having said that, I'm glad you braved it as this is a pretty cool shot. It could maybe do with a hint of counter-clockwise rotation to balance it up a little but other than that it's pretty damn good :)

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.
I really like the composition here, it's laid out nicely and framed well. You've overdone the processing though as the sky looks unnatural and the clouds are blue. There's a halo on the cliff edge as well, I think if you took a slightly less heavy-handed approach this would turn out a really nice photo :)
This is a nice scene, with plenty of potential. I think you could improve it with a crop and some sympathetic tweaking of the shadows and highlights. I'd crop the bottom 3rd off to make it more 16:9 format and then lighten the shadows a bit to bring out the detail in the rocks and trees. The white balance could do with being warmed up a tad as well. I really like the water movement, it looks spot on.

Those autumn colours are fantastic, and the light on the trees is really really nice. The foreground is very dark and would benefit from the shadows being lightened, You could try bracketing shots to increase the dynamic range which would allow you to balance the image out a bit, that foreground deserves to be seen as it looks really cool.
You can't knock a phone shot nowadays, they really are good. Sure, when you zoom right in the resolution isn't really there but let's face it how many people print photos now so for all intent and purposes it's spot on. Nicely composed, great subject matter, exposed well and you got to spend a day in Glencoe I mean what more could you ask for!
I love this, it's a really beautiful feel-good image bursting with colour and reflecty goodness. It's composed with consideration, you haven't cut off the tops of any buildings and you don't have any distracting elements, so it just works. There's not a great deal else to say here, this is a beautiful image.
A nice shot from one of my favourite places. The Lake District is a fantastic place for photography! The view down Kirkstone pass is a classic, I like the way you've used the road and drystone wall as a lead-in, The sky looks a little warm I'd maybe either cool it down a little or lower the saturation to a more grey tone and boost the contrast. I love that little fleeting bit of light next to Brothers Water.
This is a really well-shot scene so it's important to get it right if you want it to stand out from the crowd, you've done a nice job with the exposure and the colours are spot on, I'd maybe have cropped the top 3rd off to make it more of a letterbox format, there's an abundance of bright blue sky that dominates the scene and takes the focus away from the beautiful barn.
This grabbed my attention as it reminds me of being in Italy and mooching around alpine lakes in the Dolomites. I'd maybe look to rotate this a bit counterclockwise to level the water out a bit, it feels like it's tilting to the right a little. Other than that it's pretty good, nicely framed and exposed well. Good job
This is a nice image, I do think had you tilted down a little and made more of the reflection visible it'd have been a lot stronger though. The sky is very bright and by including so much of it you've cut off the top of the trees in the reflection. Making the horizon a little more central would have given you a more balanced image. Having said that, it's well exposed, sharp and the subject matter is incredible, it's a wonderful view and I'm glad you entered it!
