This image is all about contrasts. The warmth of the sun drenched mountain tops contrasting with the granite greys of the shoreline that remains in darkness. The clear blue sky competing with the atmospheric mist. All of it adds up to a pleasing visual experience, with the reflections of the mountains visible in the gently rippling lake. A classical landscape image that works well.

I love a good urban landscape and this a cracking example. One thing about shooting at night is that artificial light can become rather sulphuric, but you've avoided that here by shooting early in the evening, balancing out those blues and yellows. The many verticals and horizontals of the ship are pleasing to the eye, as are the various coloured containers pictured. An unusual subject that has been well captured and edited.

Who can resist a foggy scene, especially when the sun breaks through to enhance the atmosphere even further? Not me! This image has plenty of atmosphere, and being able to capture it from above ensures a different perspective. The road that traverses the middle of the image adds a much needed focal point and I would consider a tighter crop, excluding the foliage in the bottom left that is a little distracting.

This is a classic autumnal landscape that has plenty of atmosphere. You've done well to control the exposure of the clear sky, and capturing the reflection of the autumnal trees in the still water. There's a nice relationship between the tree on the left and the trees on the right, helped by the mist moving across the water and creating a little bit of separation between the foreground and background. The light catching on the golden colours is the final touch to an impressive image.

You've captured some truly epic light in this image that is bleeding into the clouds above as the sun descends. It was a clever decision to manage the brightness of the sun by positioning it behind the tree. The layers that have been created by the grass in the foreground, trees in the middle and colourful sky behind work well with the darkness of the trees contrasting with the colourful sunset. Nicely seen and captured.

I know this road and this part of the world and it is beautiful to behold. The perspective and angle that you've captured here really works well, with that winding road moving through the heart of the valley. The light is lovely, highlighting some of the trees and adding some contrast. I would say that the colours are a little 'off' as the sky looks rather unreal. I'd be inclined to pull back some of the blue tones to give the image a more natural look but I appreciate that post processing is a personal choice.

What drew me to this image is the many different 'blocks' of colour that make up the layers of the image. The vibrant blue of the swimming pool complimenting the bright yellow of the umbrella dominates the foreground and contrasts with the dark buildings behind, framed by the cloud formations. It's very pleasing for the eye to move from one layer to another. For more impact I'd ensure the lanes of the swimming pool are straight. Nicely seen and captured!

One of those images that could have been a Windows XP background back in the day (if they were into more moody renditions). The freshness of the green grass contrasts with the grey clouds in the sky, interpreted by the occasional hint of blue and yellow. The trees become the focal point of the image, but that is disrupted a little by the tops of another copse visible behind. A slightly lower angle would have helped here. Still, this is an intriguing image of a well known spot.

The colours and drama in this image make it hard to ignore. Light can often be more impressive after a storm, especially when it breaks through the cloud. The vibrant colours of the rock really stand out against the overcast sky above creating some lovely contrasts. I like how you've framed the rocks low in the image, giving more prominence to the sky, it works better than including too much foreground. Great shot, full of personality, well done.

I included this image in the top 10 because I believe that landscape photography comes in many forms and images that challenge us and make a person look a little deeper should be celebrated. This is one of those images that could be a small scene on a beach or, as it actually is, an image taking in the vastness of a space from above. I love that it can be perceived as both at the same time. The strong directional lighting provides some contrast and the different 'veins' that run through the dunes are fascinating. Excellent use of a drone for photography.

One of the advantages of drone photography is the ability to get a unique angle on a scene. This is a rather lovely example of that. It can make something that would seem rather pedestrian from ground level becomes something abstract and intriguing from above. I like the contrast between the frozen trees, snowy landscape and blue water and there's a freshness to the whole scene. Nicely seen and captured.

It's nice to see a slightly different perspective of San Francisco. Shooting during the blue hour works well for cityscapes because it allows those cool blue tones to contrast with the lights of the city streets, giving the impression of the city 'awakening'. The streets act as leading lines moving into the heart of the image. I think the horizon is slightly wonky and straightening it up would ensure the image is even more impactful.

What drew me to this image is that many different layers you've captured that all have a similar colour tone. Using the snow covered rocks in the foreground creates a relationship with the snowy peaks in the background, and the angle you've chosen means that the eye moves from the rocks to the peaks seamlessly. The crop works well, and the clouds in the sky mirror the different patterns of the snow. Nicely done.
