I'm always in awe of people who are able to create competent and atmospheric nightscapes, it is truly a skill. I like the clarity of the stars in this image and the fact you've used the totem of dishes and technology as a focal point. Although I'm sure the light pollution is annoying, I rather enjoy the warm tones it adds to the image.
This is a rather delightful beach scene that makes the most of the dunes, the soft light and the distant peaks of those cumulonimbus clouds out towards the horizon. The pastel tones of the morning sky glow with pinks and blues as the sun makes it way over the bank of low cloud. That glow is catching on the dunes, highlighting the grasses. I like the big sky but I wonder if a panoramic crop would even out the composition. Nicely seen and captured.
This is a fabulous autumnal image and demonstrates why us landscape photographers get so excited when autumn rolls around. The stillness of the lake provides some glorious reflections, punctuated by the birch rising through the image. The mist provides some atmosphere, and speaks to the time of day the photograph was captured and the colours of the foliage bring forth notions of a chilly autumnal morning. It's a shame that the bottom of the reflection has been cropped out of the final composition as this would have just made the image a little more satisfying. This aside, there's plenty to enjoy here.
Absolutely beautiful rendition of a very special place. The diamond beach has a pull for all landscape or seascape photographers and your image is a great example of why people return again and again. However, not all images are created equal and yours is a particularly lovely example. The soft light of the winter sunrise brings with it pastel tones of pink which contrast well with the cool blues of the icebergs and the stark blacks of the beach itself. The slow shutter speed adds a little bit of narrative to the tide and all in all this is an image of which one can be proud.
Grandeur is the word that comes to mind when I look at this scene. The vast expanse of water leading the eye to the tall pines on the far shoreline, in turn dwarfed by the mountainscape beyond. The atmosphere is enhanced by the low cloud clinging to the peaks and the portrait orientation means that everything sits nicely into the composition, reflecting into the waters. Nicely seen and captured.
A rather delicious ICM that makes the most of the bold and impressive sunset colour and light. Although it's abstract there is still a hint of the source material, namely the sea and the sky, and their symbiotic relationship. There's just enough movement for interest and not too much so we lose the impression of what we're looking at. The processing enhances the image and all in all, this works well.

There's a real narrative present in this image, from the boat heading towards the island, the the horizon beyond and the low sun before it disappears behind the low clouds. It makes me wonder what is on the island, and who is in the boat. The warm glow covers everything and the composition works well. An image full of intrigue and atmosphere.
A classic Scottish scene, but for good reason. It combines the expansive history of Scotland with the grandeur of the Scottish landscape as a backdrop. The soft light here works well, as does the panoramic crop which focusses attention on the castle. There's an absence of light, but that ensures all the tones are even and the contrast of the blue sky with the colours of the castle and mashes below works well. Nice take on an old favourite.
A pretty sunrise with some rather lovely conditions. Mist rising from the still water into the clear morning sky, the boats on the water providing some foreground interest. I'd have been inclined to have composed a little lower and given those boats more room in the composition as there is little of interest in the sky, not even some colourful cloud cover. Still, the pastel tones and general atmosphere works well.
An ostensibly simple landscape that demonstrates how colour and light can change something pedestrian into something extraordinary. The house itself lacks a huge amount of interest, but when combined with those amazing autumnal colours surrounding it in the composition the scene becomes something else. The side light and hint of atmosphere add to the effect and overall it's a pleasing image.
I'm a fan of misty mornings, especially in winter when there is little foliage left on the trees ensuring the light breaks through. Here that light catches on the water, illuminating the mist and adding much needed atmosphere. I can feel the chill in the morning air. The reflection works well, but I'd be inclined to crop out the sun as it ends up stealing attention from the rest of the scene. Thanks for sharing.
The lure of light breaking through the trees on a misty morning. It's my favourite kind of light. The Japanese have a word for it; komorebi. This is a wonderful example of komorebi. Your angle makes it feels like we're hiding behind the trees in the foreground, as if the scene in front of us a part of a secret land that we don't wish to disturb too much with our presence. Yet, the eye is drawn to that wonderful light, streaming through and revealing the path. A rather lovely scene, well balanced and tastefully processed.
The word 'epic' verges of being overused these days, but your image really speaks to the original meaning of the word. This is truly an epic scene with the mountain range stacking backwards through the composition, low cloud clinging to the peaks and the side light catching on the snow. What really makes this image for me through is the climbers at the bottom of the foreground making their way to the summit. They speak to the notion of human endurance in the face of indifferent nature and on a more practical note, they add a sense of scale. Beautiful, dramatic capture.
