New Joiners - Landscapes #661

I've chosen this as the winner as it's unusual and completely different from anything else entered. It's not something that we see a lot of and it's really impressive. I like the central composition, it's exposed well and despite being relatively simple there's still plenty to look at. Nice job.

A nice clean simple image but it works well, It's nice to see a photo of the San Francisco bridge from a little further away rather that having it totally dominate the shot. I'd maybe have cloned out the rocks on the left just over the wall as they command attention but that's just a minor point in an otherwise decent image!

For a phone shot this is pretty impressive, yeah there's noise in the sky but realistically unless you're using a camera with a larger sensor this will always be an issue. It needs a smidge of clockwise rotation as well but aside from that it looks pretty good!

I love the sense of isolation here, the fog helps massively in creating the wonderful eerie atmosphere. The processing is nice too, subdued colours and the vignette add to the drama. This absolutely wouldn't work without the little hut so nice one for spotting it and grabbing the shot.

This is an awesome shot, even better for being shot on film. It's sometimes difficult to give a mountain a sense of scale in a photo but having the people in certainly shows off the grandeur of the peak. It's exposed well, composed nicely and looks a great memory of a fantastic trip.

Try and consider your composition a bit more when thinking your shot through, this leans heavily to the right and the sky is way too overexposed. If you spend a bit more time getting these points rectified you'll find you have a lot more keepers!

I love the layers in this! Autumn is a great time of year for photos, the colours are stunning and you can always find a decent shot especially with a vista like this. It's exposed well, it's maybe a little dark in the top right but apart from that it looks ok.

This looks like the kind of sunset that everyone dreams of photographing, what a burst of colour! The high cloud catching the light looks incredible and I like that you've moved down to the wet sand to catch the reflection, there's no way this would work as well without it!

What an awesome sunrise / sunset! I love the intense colour catching the high clouds. I'd maybe crop some of the bottom as the grey foreground doesn't really add anything and takes some of the attention away from that burning sky!

I like the composition here and feel like there's potential in this shot but it's way overdone on the post processing side of things. I'd maybe take another stab at it, give it a lighter touch and I think you'd have a really nice image.

Some lovely reflections here, I'm not usually a fan of cityscapes but I really like the colourful nature of this one. It's a pretty simple composition but works really well, I like the star bursts on the lights from the narrow aperture too.

I really like this, it's got an abstract element to it that really makes it stand out from the pack. The reflections are good and it's arranged well, I like the hills shrouded in mist in the background too, nice one!
