This is pretty cool, it almost looks like martian landscape. I've never really seen anything from here before so it's nice to see something different. It looks a pretty amazing place to be and photograph. I'd maybe look at cropping the lighter coloured sand in the foreground out, I'm not sure it really adds anything to the image.
I think a photo needs to tell a story, it needs to show the viewer something about the moment you were in but I'm not really getting that here. There's nothing that gives me a sense of scale or helps me to understand what I'm looking at. Technically it's ok, exposed well and in focus but it just doesn't excite me!
This is great, the fog gives it a real mysterious 'end of the world' look. It's composed nicely and exposed correctly. I'm intrigued as to what the structures in the water are. I like that the city skyline in the background is hard to make out, it forces you to look around and explore the image more.

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.
