I love the low fog, you did well to get to a viewpoint away from it to capture it, and the light on the mountain is just sublime. Your sensor definitely needs a clean though, you've got dust spots all over it which have spoiled the image somewhat.

I'm not usually a fan of cityscapes but I really like this one, I dunno whether it's the black and white conversion or the heavy vignette that's got my attention but whatever it is it looks good. The long exposure is done well, not too much movement that it's made things unrecognisable but enough to give a good sense of movement and drama!

I've never been here yet but it's somewhere that's on my list of places to go, what a beautiful photograph, and what a nice reward for waiting around for the lights too! I love the composition, and including the figure helps to give a sense of scale!

I love this, shallow depth of field landscapes aren't seen too often in these competitions and I'm always stumped as to why as they look great. The colours are lovely too, and although the composition is pretty straightforward it's got no distractions and works really well. I like the processing too, you've made a really nice job of this. Well done on the win.

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.

Reflection shots are great, one of my favourite types of shots and it's nice to see one in such a beautiful part of the UK.. I can't get away fro the fact that the top of the mast isn't in shot though!

This is nice, I like the simple composition and the black and white conversion is decent. I'd maybe look to boost the contrast a tiny bit or use the tone curve to drop the blacks a little, it'll give it a real boost :)

Those are some pretty spectacular rays, made even more beautiful by the reflections! The sky above the rays is maybe a bit overexposed but I know it's difficult under these types of conditions to keep all the highlights contained. I like the way you've composed this and cropped it to a letterbox format, it looks lovely.

What an epic view! I like the moody sky in this and the dappled light in the background looks great. Nice use of the vignette when processing it tool it does a good job of leading me into the image.

This is a lovely shot, the water movement is great and has an almost dream like effect to it. The autumn colours look beautiful, it's composed well and it's nice and sharp. I think it'd suit a vignette to really draw the eyes into the centre but it's still a gorgeous shot.

When I first opened this I thought it was in Glencoe, Scotland. It looks so similar! It's nicely exposed and I like the way you used the fence as a lead in. I like how everything seems to lead in and guide you towards the mountain in the centre!

I love the frost and snow on the trees, it just looks amazing. It's maybe a bit heavily weighted to the left, was it possible to step a few paces to the left to centralise the 3 trees a bit? It still looks nice, it's exposed well and it's sharp so it's got a lot going for it :)

You've caught some epic light there! I'd probably look to crop this 16:9 removing some from the top, there's a chunk of sky that doesn't add anything whereas you're far better off making the peaks the centre of attention! Still, I really like it :)

Mega reflections here! I love it when you get conditions like this as the reflections just look incredible, I like the tree stumps in the foreground too I think they could potentially make an epic subject, the the reflections and trees as a backdrop

Nicely composed, and well exposed. The blues are very very strong almost to the point of over saturation. I'd reduce the colour and vibrance a little, either that or warm the white balance up a bit which will dull the strong blues down a tad.
