This photo is out of this world, I absolutely love this and to be honest I'm a tad envious that it's not mine! It's got everything, stunning conditions, good processing and the composition is next level. I'm a sucker for a big foreground and this ticks all the boxes. This is a wonderful image. Well done on the win :)

This has gotta be in the top 3 as it's just magical. I've been lucky enough to see the Northern Lights on a few occasions in Norway so know how special it is and know how you'd have been feeling when you shot this. It's a simple composition but the fact that you've got the different colours in there is what makes it special.

Welcome to Photocrowd’s ‘Landscapes’ contest for New Joiners! These contests are a chance for new members to introduce their photography to the community, and get a taste of how Photocrowd contests work. They can be entered by anyone within their first 28 days of joining Photocrowd. After 100 images have been submitted the contest closes and the Crowd will start rating the images. The Expert Judge will also be judging the images and writing reviews at the same time. All the winners, both Crowd and Expert, will be announced after 3 days of judging. Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.

I think this has potential with a few tweaks, there's a lot of negative space that doesn't necessarily add to the image so I'd go for a slightly tighter crop. Also, make sure when you are shooting at the seaside or with a flat horizon that you keep it level. It's really noticeable when it slopes to one side!
This is pretty cool especially for a mobile shot. I love the low angle, getting low like that is a must for small subjects as they just look lost otherwise. The tree is a tad off putting, I'd maybe have taken the shot an inch or 2 to the left and turned the camera to the right to either lose the tree or maybe just lose the space to the left of the tree so it's not as noticeable.
