This looks like a really nice shot - good light, attractive mirror-like reflections, and the shot is well exposed and composed. Unfortunately, the file submitted is small and the quality is low, making it really hard to evaluate the shot properly. That is the reason why this image doesn't feature in my Top 10.
This is a gorgeous and tranquil shot. The letterbox aspect ratio really suits the landscape and the photographer has positioned themselves carefully to place the mountain peak and its reflection between the two rocky outcrops. The tones are lovely too. A thoroughly beautiful and well balanced image.

I love the layers of interest and detail in this landscape photo. It is a nicely balanced composition. However, the sensor spots and dirt are distracting. These are straightforward enough to clone-out using the Heal or Clone Brush. Sensor's will need cleaning from time-to-time, with dust and dirt entering the camera when switching lenses.
This might not be an attractive, standout landscape, but it possesses lots of mood and drama. The slightly grainy, black and white processing produces a timeless looking result. The composition is helped by the dark, brooding sky framing the turbines - meanwhile, the walkers in the middle-distance add a sense of scale.
This scene has so much atmosphere. The conditions are beautiful - it just goes to prove that dragging yourself out of bed early to capture daybreak will often prove worthwhile. The mist, low cloud, and light produce lovely layers - and the tower provides a focal point. I think the leaves in the top right corner are distracting, though - there either needs to be more branches to form a partial frame, or no leaves at all.
The warm, low light - shaping and defining the undulating dunes and patterns in the sand - really makes this image. The light-play and contrast add depth, while the lone tree provides an 'anchor' for the composition. I might be tempted to trim a little sky off the top of the frame to create a slightly narrower aspect ratio.
Although this might be a well-photographed viewpoint, there is no denying that this is a fantastic vista. The conditions and light are good and the reflections provide symmetry. It is a well-captured image. I would tweak the processing slightly, though, and lighten the dark shadows areas to produce a better exposed result throughout.
I like the composition and squarer aspect ratio. The low light and contrast within the landscape are gorgeous too. However, the sun's intensity is just too great for the camera to cope with and the highlights are overexposed. In the future, bracket exposure, (taking both darker and lighter frames) and then merge these together in editing to artificially extend dynamic range.

Make sure you also check out our two other New Joiners contests - ‘People’ and ‘Animals’.
This is not a bad image - the photographer has constructed a composition including a foreground, interest in the middle-distance, and a far reaching vista beyond. But the light is flat and the landscape is lacking contrast and depth. This same scene, captured at a different time of day, in better conditions, would undoubtedly create a great shot.
