This is an intriguing seascape and I like that you have attempted to do something different. The low perspective you have adopted allows for a shallow depth of field, blurring out the rocks in the foreground so the ones in the mid-ground stand out. The low light you’ve captured is rather delightful, highlighting certain rocks. Normally I would advise against giving half the frame over to a clear sky because it doesn’t add a huge amount to the composition. However, here it rather works, as there is a clear delineation between the two halves of the frame and the two sit in opposition to each other. The clean processing also helps elevate the composition. Thanks for sharing!

This is a an image that has a lot of atmosphere and mood. It’s always tricky shooting directly into the sun, but you’ve managed the exposure well. I particularly like the way the light is shafting through the low cloud onto the distant shoreline. The warm tones that you’ve employed in the scene work well, emphasising that visual impact of sunset. However, what really elevates the composition is the bird flying through the frame. It provides a focal point and adds scale and interest. Nicely seen & captured.

There was something about this image that caught my attention when I first saw it. I love the feeling that you've captured, with the fog consuming the background, only revealing a hint of the woodland behind. I like your framing, with the fir on the right taking centre stage but not intersecting with the firs behind. The colours are lovely, with muted tones giving the feeling that this was shot on film. A quiet image that might escape most people's attention but has so much to offer, thank you for sharing.

This image is all about the layers. We have the beach in the foreground, leading to the rocks in the mid ground and the sea beyond. The colour of the sand and the rocks compliment each other and stand in contrast to the blues and turquoise tones of the sea and the sky. I like the angle that you've chosen, placing the camera close to the ground and providing an interesting perspective and I also enjoy how you've given room to the sky, full of clouds that add texture to the scene and elevate the composition. Really nicely seen and captured.

This is a delectable image and proof that there is a world beyond wide angle images. I like that you've concentrated on this one, illuminated hillside, glowing with the light of the low morning sun. The way it is catching on the trees and foliage is delightful, and the haze above separates the foreground from the background. Some of the colours seem a little unreal, but I imagine that's just what you saw and I love artistic renditions of scenes such as this one.

A classic wintery scene that is well composed and exposed. I like that you've used some of the foliage on the shoreline for a foreground, and the swoop of the shoreline brings the eye right round to the boat in the middle. The stillness of the water is rather lovely, indicating to me that this was shot in the morning before the world has really arisen and the winds have yet to pick up. The boat in turn is framed by the snow-capped peaks in the distance, catching some of the early morning light. I like that you've given room in the frame for the boat to breathe. Nicely done.

A well timed photo that shows off the landscape and demonstrates your commitment to getting the right composition and conditions in the same frame. Exposure wise, I imagine this was a tricky one as all the light would be behind the rock so it would be easy to underexpose. However, you've managed to highlights and the shadows well, and we have detail in the rock as well as the sky. The sunstar itself is the main stand out element, bursting through the gap in the rock, framed by the archway above. However, the image is also helped by the clouds in the sky creating some texture. Nicely done.

What a fabulous morning you've captured in this image. The clear blue sky framing the three snowy peaks below, each slightly taller than the one before. The other side of the shore is separated from the mountains by that thin line of mist drifting across the heart of the image, and the greens of the woodland cut through the predominantly blue tones. It's a shame that you didn't place the horizon in the middle as I would have loved to have seen that tremendous cloud reflecting in the water, sitting perfectly in the middle of the composition. That aside, there is plenty to love in this image, thank you for sharing!

This is a well composed and rather delightful seascape. I love how you've used the rocks in the foreground to good effect, pointing us to the landscape in the distance. The waves splashing off the headland is a really nice addition and just elevates the image. I actually like that there is an absence of light in the scene, it gives a uniformity to the tone and the overcast sky above has a lot of interest and texture. Just a good example of a moody seascape, thanks for sharing.

This is a well photographed scene but it’s nice to see that you’ve tried to put your own spin on it. I like the portrait orientation that you’ve chosen so you’re able to fit in both the boat house in the foreground and the snow capped mountains in the distance. I like the hi-key editing style that you have adopted in this image, which places emphasis on the green tones in the water and how they contrast with the colours in the rest of the scene. One of those images that makes me want to go visit the location. Thanks for sharing!

A famous house and for good reason. The backdrop of Glencoe is undeniable, with the mountains rising up, drawfing the small cottage that so eloquently sits in the valley, surrounded by a small coppice of trees. The light is rather lovely, flooding the valley and illuminating the scene, but unfortunately the highlights in the top right are rather blown out which detracts a little from the overall composition. That being said, the image does well to convey a mood and demonstrates a sense of scale.

I find this an intriguing and complex monochrome image that really stopped me and made me want to look closer. You've adopted a shallow depth of field so really only the hill closest to us is in focus and the rest are blurred out in the distance. I love the shaft of light that is illuminating the mountains and the column of cloud drifting across the scene. I'd be inclined to crop the image to get rid of that chunk of sky that is above the cloud as it doesn't add much to the scene and a tighter crop would keep our attention focused on the mountains and the light.

There is a lovely battle between the cool and the warm tones present in this image. The cool blues of the evening (I'm assuming) cover most of the scene, but the warm tones of a dying sun is enough to create oranges and yellows to cut through the blue. This in turn contrasts with the rugged landscape below. I like that you've used the road as a leading line, pulling us through to the mountains in the distance. The fact that it was taken on an iPhone is even more impressive and shows that the best camera is the one you have on you.
