Thank you very much for sharing this image with us. it has a few classic nice elements to it such as the depth of the shot, some interesting foreground, then the place is set with the mountains in the background. I like what you have attempted with the image and it works well.

Another very interesting image to have entered into the competition. I love the feel of depth from the trees in the foreground to the darker shadows in the distance and then with the slither of light-catching a few of the peaks, this is a really lovely element to the work.

A nice composition that you have framed nicely. The reflection works well in the shot. Just be mindful of the sky as the clouds look a little bit bright and the details have been lost. It is also worth watching out for chromatic aberration such as on the tops of the mountains where they touch the sky and on the tops of the trees on the left of the frame.

Meet the expert judge

A beautiful take on a classic shot that many have done before. I like the depth and detail you have got with the image. It's a good choice to shoot this in portrait as well, as this allows the depth of the shot to be represented well within the frame. Another thing that stands out well is the shadows casting over the land, these add another level to the depth within your image. Well done.

A nice image with some rich details and very nice framing with the use of trees. The waterfall showing in the distance works well and I like that the water's highlights are not blown out even though it looks like you were shooting from the darker region in the trees. Very well done and thank you for entering the competition.

I like this image and the shapes that are formed within it by the trees, this is a hard thing to get right and you have done it nicely. The shadows are not too dark and the little bits of misty sky that we can see are not too bright, thus making for a well-balanced detail-rich image. Thank you for entering it into the competition.

There are some nice details within the foreground rocks of this image and the depth and details retained in the background mountains also work well too. What appears to be a sand storm has not blocked all of the views either, it has added to the whole feel of the total shot. Some nice work and thank you for entering the image.

A beautiful image that has captured some very nice details and some amazing weather at the same time. It's great to see the highlights not blown out and also the shadows not underexposed in what will have been a tricky image to expose correctly. The framing is also nice and strong as well. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.

A nicely presented image with some fabulous details, strong composition, and the golden tone of the edit also works well. The aspect ratio works well for the image as it flows well with the length of the dunes. I appreciated the supportive text with the image, as at 1st glance it looks like a bit of a close-up, but to then get the context of being shot from an aircraft it adds more to the story of the image.

There are some really beautiful tones within this image and some fabulous depth within the contrast as well. I like how the highlights take you through the shot and that you can keep on staring at the image as a whole and notice more and more bits about it, yet it does not feel cluttered. thank you very much for sharing this with us

A nice seascape with some great characteristics, the rock details are preserved very well and I like the ship on the horizon giving a little sense of scale to it all as well. Well done on getting the foreground, sea, and sky exposed in the 1 image as well. Where you can see the whites starting to appear in the water on the rocks, it can be a great idea to shoot these styles of shots when those cover more of the rocks, as this adds to the dramatic feel of the image.

The symmetry with the masts and the wires works well with this image, and then the tones from the Golden Hour mixed with the film stock is another nice touch. The whole image is balanced very well. Thank you very much for sharing this with us

There is some gorgeous light landing on this image that is amazing to see. Then when you start to pay more attention to the image you notice the clouds that surround the mountain itself, a very good capture to have preserved all the details so well and to have not blown out the highlights to have lost the shadows. Thank you very much for sharing the image with us

A very nice image indeed, this skyline almost looks like home to me and I just love the fact you have gone for a silhouette of the church tower to maximize the details in the sky, this works so well. What I do find a little distracting is all the bottles on the end of the canes, at least I think that's what it is, as these whites are making me look at that as I am drawn into it, whereas the sky is the more amazing parts of the shot.
