This is a competent landscape image that does what it sets out to do. You have the foreground of the floating pontoon which is surrounded by the water reflecting the hills in the distance. I'm not sure if this is sunrise or sunset, by the colours in the sky add some interest, especially as the reflect in the water below. Nicely seen and captured.

I absolutely love the reflection you've caught in this image, with the clear blue sky mirrored in the still water below. This contrasts with the greens of the woodland on the far shore and the snow-covered peaks in the distance creating a really powerful scene. I would be intrigued to see if the image had more impact if it was cropped a little more, perhaps 8x10 or even as a square. This would focus attention on the landscape without losing too much reflection. That aside, this is a powerful image, well captured.

The first hint of the light on those mountains is delicious and really brings out the colours of the rock, with the snow covered peaks glowing red underneath. This is in contrast with the landscape below that is yet to be touched by the rising sun and looks dull and green in comparison to the vibrancy of the colour in the sky and the peaks. This is broken up by the inclusion of the lake, reflecting the sharp blue of the sky above. I can only imagine how breathtaking this scene was to witness. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of those times where the addition of a human element in the frame enhances a landscape image. Without the caravan of camels and people, this would have been a decent abstract image of sand dunes, but the inclusion of the human element provides not only context but also scale. Your composition is spot on, with the placement of the people and camels in the top left allowing room for the eye to read the image left to right. I also love that the person leading the camels is wearing blue, in stark contrast to the sea of orange that surrounds him. A wonderful image that demonstrates knowledge of composition and colour theory.

There was something about this image that I just really enjoyed. It's a shame that you didn't include any details regarding your thought process as it would have been good to read a little about what moved you to take this image. That aside, the image tells some of the story on its own, with the snowy mountain top dominating the foreground, catching the last (or the first) of that low light of an ebbing sun. For me, it's the inclusion of the person that makes the image work. They look contemplative as they stand atop the submit, bathed in warm light. A small human victory against the stalwart might of nature.

There is plenty to enjoy in this moody image which places emphasis on the changing weather and how it can dramatically affect a composition. The layer of dark cloud at the top of the frame gives way to light breaking through and catching on the lower cloud below, creating some atmospheric conditions and picking out bits of highlighted snow on the far slopes. I like that one mountain has a smattering of the white stuff and the ones closer to us in the frame reman untouched, it creates a juxtaposition in colour and texture. The road at the bottom of the frame creates a suitable leading line into the scene and all in all this is an image with heaps of drama and personality, thanks for sharing.

It was nice to see a landscape image in this cohort that attempts to do something different. The wire wool burning bright making the sign of infinity also puts me in mind of an angels wings, standing on the shoreline, watching the city in the distance. There is something evocative about it, something moving. You've done well to balance out the exposure of both the wire wool and the distant urban sprawl as it's so easy to burn out the highlights in these kind of creative endeavours. Your composition works well, placing the wire wool on the right of the frame so the city lights lead us in. An intriguing image, thanks for sharing.

For me this is a well executed, classic landscape image. What I really like about it is the different layers of colour found in each section of the image. The foreground has the green of the shoreline leading to the blue of the water which is interrupted by the jagged brown presence of the rocks. In the distance the blues of the water become the warm oranges of the lights on the far shore and the glorious colours of the sunrise in the sky above. You've done a really good job of balancing out the natural and ambient lighting, ensuring that the image has a lot of atmosphere, especially with the inclusion of the mist in the distance. It's a view that isn't often seen and you've done justice to both the manmade and natural parts of the composition.

This is one of those images that I kept coming back to. I think it has a little bit of something special. I'm a big fan of images that do a good job of balancing out natural and ambient lighting, and this image is a lovely example of that. The low evening sun is just about to dip below the horizon, and its final glow is catching on the trees and grasses in the foreground from your elevated vantage point. Below, in the valley, darkness as already prevailed and the lights of the township have been switched on, twinkling into the twilight. I like the processing you've gone with, emphasising the blues and the oranges, and the framing also works well.

One of those images that made me look twice and think about what I was seeing. One of the advantages of drone photography is being able to find abstract compositions from above, really showing off the landscape below in a different light. I love the relationship between the shape of the cross and the shape of the semicircle at the bottom of the frame. It puts me in mind of a sword and a shield, laid down many centuries before. The patterns left by the tide are a nice addition, bringing in texture and colour. One of those images that just makes me want to look closer and get lost in all the different elements. Masterfully composed. Thank you for sharing!

This is a powerful black and white image that uses the conditions to ensure that frame has maximum impact. The clouds above have enough in the way of gaps to reveal the sun trying to break through, creating the beautiful effect of light shafting on to the distant shore, adding interest and atmosphere to the image. This is enhanced by your choice of monochrome processing, which emphasises the shadows and highlights. I love the boat of people on the left side, as it adds interest and scale. However it's just a little bit too close to the edge of the frame and therefore sits uncomfortably in the composition. That aside, there is plenty to enjoy here.

I like that this image demonstrates a juxtaposition between what is the natural world and what is part of the urban, man-made sprawl. The coastline is filled with turquoise water, waves splashing against the shoreline. This gives way to the beach front, filled with hotels and apartments. Between the two is filled with people enjoying themselves, and behind there is the hint of distance hills. It works well, and the colours of the sea, building and sky all work together. A nice composition that shows the tension between city and green space.
