Another great example of how versatile and useful the iPhone camera is, especially in the newer models. It has enabled you to create an impressive nightscape and make the most of the conditions.

I love the moon lit foreground, the moonlight catching on the mist that is stalking across the mid ground. It creates a compelling narrative and speaks to something romantic. It is a shame that the right of the frame does not have as much detail as the left and therefore the image isn't quite as impressive as it could have been.

That said, there is plenty to like here, thank you for sharing!

Some landscapes just stand out because they show off the scene in question with such consideration and beauty that it makes the viewer stop, consider and take it all in. This is a lovely example of this. This isn't a well known viewpoint and in different conditions it could be dismissed as pedestrian, but your diligence and photographic eye have ensured that you've captured this landscape at its best.

The light casting from the left of the frame is illuminating the foreground, making it glow with greens and yellows. The riverbank leads the eye into the frame and the warm tones of the foreground compliment the hazy blues of the mountains in the distance. A lovely reminder that beauty can be found anywhere, not just in the honeypot locations. Thank you for sharing!

I know this little slice of the Lake District well and it regularly delivers marvellous little vignettes such as this one.

Your decision to place the horizon in the middle works to your advantage because it means we get to enjoy not only the impressive colour in the sky, but also the reflection in the still waters below.

I love the way the light is catching on the fells in the distance and despite the light not touching the rest of the landscape there is enough detail to make it work.

Nicely seen, captured and edited.

A classic autumnal image that uses all the elements in the frame to powerful effect.

I like that you've gone for a portrait orientation, using the yellow lines of the road as a way to lead in the eye, snaking through the frame to the glorious array of colourful foliage in the background.

The blue sky above compliments the oranges, greens and yellows, with the trees at various stages of decline into autumnal colour. Nicely done, thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely example of how one element in a frame can make the whole composition work.

The frame itself has plenty to enjoy, with the low cloud clinging to the hill tops in the distance, reflecting in the river. Your decision to use square frame ensures all our attention remains in the middle of the image, elevated by the hint of colour in the cloud and reflection. However, what makes the image is the inclusion of the sheep at the waters edge, especially because it's looking up at the camera as if to regard the photographer.

It's just a lovely detail that adds a new layer to the image.

Sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time, but it still takes skill to create a compelling composition.

Here, the conditions were definitely on your side, especially with the light streaming over the hill top, leading the eye into the frame.

Your framing works well, and I like the inclusion of the branches creeping into the right of the frame. Your processing choices enhance the mood, with the blues of the foreground complimenting the yellows and warm tones above.

This is lovely example of the best camera being the one you have on you. The iPhone was a good choice for a scene as there is less chance of the water destroying the camera/lens combo but the picture quality is still sufficient as to capture and create something compelling.

Your positioning really makes the frame work, standing behind the torrent of water and providing us with a lesser seen view. This is helped by the fact the sun is low in the sky and the low light is illuminating the spray coming off the waterfall.

An impressive vantage point that has led to an intriguing image, thank you for sharing.

Drone photography has a wonderful way of showing off landscapes from a different perspective, notably the top-down framing that is popular (for good reason). This is a powerful example of why such framing works well, making a landscape that might not be particularly interesting into something that feels almost abstract.

I like the composition that you've gone with, allowing the river to meander through the frame like a vein, separating the top half of the image from the bottom. I'm not sure what's on the ground, if it's snow or salt or just the colour of the rocks, but the bright, white colour compliments the impressive greens and yellows elsewhere in the frame, specifically the trees.

One of those images that makes you want to look closer.

This is a really good example of when a human made element in the frame actually enhances the composition.

The landscape is impressive, especially from our elevated vantage point, looking over the valley below, mist and hazy creating some interesting atmosphere.

However, the inclusion of the hut on the right of the frame just balances out the composition and makes for a delightful addition, creating a narrative of who might live in the hut like this and why they decided on this particular location.

The light is lovely, catching on the landscape as well as the hut and overall this is a pleasing image that works well, thanks for sharing.

I firmly believe that woodland photography is one of the most difficult disciplines under the landscape photography umbrella and it takes a special eye to be able to make sense out of the chaos caused by the trees.

This is a lovely example of woodland photography that demonstrates that you understand the challenges and can still create a compelling composition. I love the feel you've created here, using the moody atmosphere of the fog to really enhance the image. It has a foreboding feel and does a fine job of creating a narrative. I like that you've positioned the tree with the split leader in the foreground, bending into the rest of the woodland. The post processing compliments the mood and overall this is a powerful image, thank you for sharing.

There is something very intriguing about this shot that made me want to include it in the top ten because good images always make me stop and think.

Your composition works well, using the telegraph pole (which could have been tricky to incorporate) as the main crux of the composition, positioning it on the left of the frame and allowing for it to reflect in the water below.

The most interesting part of this image for me is the colour of the water. From a photography perspective it works well, with the pinks and reds at the bottom of the frame giving way to the blues at the top. I have no idea why the water is that colour but you've done well to use it to your advantage.

I have the utmost respect for astrophotographers and their commitment to shooting in the most difficult of conditions to bring up beauty such as this.

One of the traps that some astrophotographers fall into is concentrating entirely on the stars and failing to include a foreground. Thankfully this is something you've mitigated by including the natural archway that spans the foreground and leads the eye into the Milky Way above.

A really nice example of astrophotography that demonstrates your ability to work in difficult conditions and still create art.

This is a powerful waterfall scene that benefits from the tight framing that you've employed. There is a sense of impressive power encapsulated in the torrent of water that is racing down towards the bottom of the frame. The fact that you've employed a fast shutter speed enhances this further.

There is some weird colouration in the water in the bottom of the frame and also in the sky right at the top. The colours don't seem to match the rest of the image. If you're able to have a play around in post there is a possibility that this image could benefit and become even more impressive. Thanks for sharing.

I love the vantage point of this image, where we're looking down on proceedings. I like that you've made the decision to exclude the sky so all our attention remains focussed on the rock face, waterfall and wave in motion.

There is a sense of something about to happen, especially as your choice of a fast shutter ensures that the wave is about the crest and we are witnessing that power building. The sunlight catching on the waterfall and the water is rather delightful, elevating the colours and highlighting the relationship between the two.

A really wonderful vignette of Big Sur. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of those scenes that I see regularly and each time it increases my desire to visit. It's always good to see this scene done well, and I really like that you've gone for a portrait orientation rather than the classic landscape view. This means that our attention is fully focused on the three rock formations that make up the main body of the image.

Your timing is impeccable, shooting at just the right moment to get that impressive sunstar peeping out from behind the middle rock formation, a little detail and elevates the image and demonstrates your competence as a photographer.

The processing compliments the image and all in this is a lovely rendition of a popular location.
