This is an interesting depiction of a waterfall. There is a hint of colour in the foliage that really helps add some atmosphere to the scene. The long exposure is long enough to create some movement in the water, allowing it to stand out from the rest of the image. There is some misting at the side of the frame on the right and I'm not sure if that's spray or something but it makes the image feel a little messy. That aside, the waterfall itself has been well captured.
A gorgeous rendition of the Dolomites in all their glory, rising up from the surrounding landscape and dominating the skyline. I love how the green of the landscape fades into the grey of the granite mountainscape against the backdrop of the blue sky. I like your positioning, quite far from the scene so you can fit in the whole vignette.
The cloud in the top right unfortunately has had the highlights blown and this distracts a little from the overall effectiveness of the image. That aside, there is plenty to love here. Thanks for sharing.
This is just a stunning sunset and I'm glad you were there to capture it. I like that you've given most of the frame over to the sky so that dramatic colour and texture is front and centre. I like that the shoreline on the other side of the water is silhouetted against the sky, although the shapes of the rooftops are still visible.
There's not much more to be said other than it must have been a wonderful thing to witness and thank you for sharing!
What a beautiful scene that you've captured here. The Dolomites are renowned for their beauty and your image really demonstrates why that is. You say that this is a crop of a larger shot that includes a cable car. I'm glad you cut that out so that I'm able to focus on the beautiful and dramatic landscape without distraction.
The low cloud and the mist adds atmosphere and gives the image an almost a fantasy feel. The light catching off the surface of the landscape creates some nice contrast and the thick cloud with a blue hue compliments the warm tones of the landscape below.
One of those images that makes me want to go and visit the location. Thanks for sharing!
I like the composition of this image but I also like the message that it conveys. The landscape around the tree, as you point out, is devoid of vegetation and this allows the tree to stand out against the brown ground and the bright blue of the sky.
The tree itself is unusual, windswept and low to the ground in a position we don't see very often. Yet it appears to be thriving despite the landscape in which it exists. I like how you've composed the shot with the tree centre frame and it's one of those images that tells a story, thanks for sharing.
It's not often that I include an image taken from an airplane in the top 10. Often the lights of the cabin are visible and it is very much evident where it was taken. However, if you had not written that you'd taken the picture out of a Boeing 737 I never would have known.
You do well to avoid the pitfalls of shooting out of the plane window and not only that, the image you've taken benefits from excellent composition. The black and white conversion gets rid of any distracting colour infractions and means the dark of the rocky landscape contrasts with the small deposits of snow on the summits. The mountainous landscape tracks backwards through the frame as far as the eye can see. It truly shows the scale of the landscape.
A really impressive job, well done.
There is plenty to enjoy in this landscape. Your elevated position allows for the scene to evolve in front of us with the snowy foreground giving way to the low cloud that is drifting upwards revealing the landscape in the distance.
In some ways this image has two halves. The landscape at the bottom of the frame and the sky in the top half. The sky is a little troublesome because there is a lot of negative space with all the cloud towards the horizon, but the inclusion of that low, low sun absolutely elevates the frame. It adds some much needed warmth to counteract those blues.
A beautiful scene, thank you for sharing!
There are several elements to this image that I think work really well.
It's not an image that pretends to be anything that what it is, a depiction of sunset after a storm. The effectiveness of this image is made even better by your composition, positioning yourself in the middle of the road so the viewers eyes are following it down to the horizon.
The colour in the cloud is gorgeous, definitely one of those special evenings that come along after the rain. The lovely cloud is elevated further by the reflection in the pavement below. I like that you've silhouetted the landscape and allowed the colours to shine. An impressive scene that you've captured well. Thank you for sharing.
A fabulous pano that shows of NYC's central park in it's winter coat.
I like that you've gone for the panoramic crop as it means we get to experience some of the nature on the right in the form of the snow covered trees and the bridge on the left which shows we're in a manmade space. The buildings in the background are distinctively New York in nature and the black and white conversion means that we are not distracted by colour.
One of those images that makes me want to jump int the frame and experience the cold chill as I walk about the park. Thanks for sharing.
This image is all about the layers and their relationship to one another. In the foreground there is gorgeous field of purple, spreading as far as the eye can see, melting into the deeper blue of the hazy mountains in the distance.
The thin layer of cumulous cloud that is drifting atop the mountains helps to separate them from the lovely blue sky above. The colours compliment each other in a really lovely fashion and the inclusion of the tree on the far left really sets the image apart.
Just one of those images that is really enjoyable to look at and demonstrates an understanding of how to create compelling compositions. Thanks for sharing.
Norfolk is known for its fens and it's windmills and this is a lovely depiction of both.
The low light is delightful, catching on the tree that is situated on the shoreline as well as the windmill on the left of the frame.
The cloud adds some much needed texture, reflecting into the almost still waters and I like the detail of the crow that's sitting in the birch tree. Good use of light and impressive composition. Thank you for sharing!
This has all the elements of a classic seascape present in the frame.
The undulating tide leaving wet sand on the beach and creating a definitive line between the sea and the sand. The pier, which acts as both a point of interest and a diagonal line that leads the eye into the rest of the frame, and the moody sky above, catching the colours of dawn.
I like your understated editing, emphasising the mood of the morning, allowing those subtle purples and oranges to speak for themselves. The texture in the clouds really works too, with the shape and motion of the cloud mirroring the shape and texture of the water below.
A compelling seascape and demonstrates your ability to capture a dramatic scene and stamp your own style on it.

This shows why us landscape photographers love autumn so much. The colours of the trees in this image are just fabulous, ranging from green to yellow and brown as the trees decay on their own timescales.
The bold, bright colours are helped by the strong directional lighting and the blue of the sky behind, reflecting in the water below. The ripples in the water mirror some of the textures in the cloud which works well.
There is a little bit of foliage sneaking in at the bottom of the frame on the left which distracts a little and a quick crop would sort that out. An image that makes me excited about autumn!
The lighting in this image is impressive and helps to highlight some of beautiful architecture on display.
The centre piece of the image is the Vatican, rising up over some of the other buildings and bathed in daylight. I would have been inclined to make sure all the horizontals (and verticals) were straight so the eye isn't pulled away from the main aspects of the image. That aside there is plenty to enjoy here and it reminds the viewer why Rome and the Vatican remain a firm architectural favourite.
I'm assuming this is drone shot just because of the perspective which is unusual and lets us have a birds eye view of the cliffs, the sea and the beach. The blue of the water is a deep and rich colour, contrasting with the white of the cliff and the green of the foliage. The inclusion of the boats on the shoreline help to add some context and scale to the image and I love the shipwreck that you have included on the left hand side. An interesting perspective of a picturesque location.
