This is a thoughtfully composed shot - the shape of the foreground willowherb almost mimicking the mountain peaks behind. The only major thing that lets this image down is the rather cool and flat, midday light. Capture this scene again in golden hour conditions, and I think it would be elevated another level or two. However, I appreciate you can't wait for the light when you're out hiking with friends - you just have to grab what you can!
What a stunning view and a gorgeous photo. I love the shape and flow of the clean, virgin, foreground snow, and the warm, early morning light just kissing the mountains beyond. Light and shade combine so well together in this frame. It is sensitively processed too. A really pleasing photo.

Isn't nature raw and wonderful. I love the power of the water combined with the resilience and delicacy of the tree growing atop of the mossy boulders. This is an interesting and well-seen composition. The photo is maybe a touch more contrasty than I would want (with the whites dangerously close to being blown). But overall a strong and eye-catching image.
Atmosphere is often the key ingredient to a successful landscape photo - and this view is oozing with it. The wisps of mist and layers within the landscape provide depth, contrast and interest. It is a well composed and captured scene. The sky is full of interest, although it is just a shame that some of the highlights are blown (particularly in the top right of the frame).
This is an interesting scene with lots of potential. However, the light is probably a little too harsh in this instance - it would be worth revisiting this location at dawn or dusk, maybe with a slightly higher tide too. The horizon is sloping slightly - always check this and straighten in editing if required.
This looks like a very tricky scene to capture, with lots of contrast. The dark basalt rock and bright sky produce an exposure headache, but the photographer has made a good choice by bracketing exposure and blending them together in software. The result boasts good shadow and highlight detail, yet retains a nice, natural appearance. The narrow aspect ratio suits the scene well.
