This image is all about the composition. From your elevated position we can see across the water and the curve of the shoreline as it disappears into the distance.

There is a distinct feel of summer, with the lush greens of the grass complimented by the bright blues in the sky above. The cumulous clouds in the distance threaten rain and add some much needed texture to the scene.

The part of the composition that really makes the image work however is the inclusion of the sheep. It adds scale and interest to the foreground and just elevates the scene.

Nicely done, thanks for sharing.

This is a great photo of a fabulous location. I've seen it in winter, covered in snow during that time of polar night when dawn can last a few hours before falling immediately into dusk, but seeing your summer rendition of this scene literally casts it in a new light.

The rock formations themselves are enough to hold the composition, with those jagged 'teeth' taking centre stage, and this is helped by the dappled light falling over the composition, highlighting the greys and greens in the landscape.

I love that you've found a perfectly still pool over water to capture a gorgeous reflection, something, I imagine, is a rarity in this part of the world with the tumultuous sea a constant threat.

The sky aids the composition by adding texture and this is one time where putting the horizon in the middle works a charm. A fabulous image of a magical place, thank you for sharing.

I absolutely love this image and I knew immediately that it was probably shot on an iPhone because the Apple tech gives images a certain feel. It's a lovely example of the best camera is the one you have on you. However, it's never the camera that makes the image, it is the photographer and you've done a splendid job here.

I like that you've included some of the colourful plants in the foreground, helping to lead the eye into the scene and the Chinese tower becomes the main focal point, glowing in that low, evening light.

You've done well to control the foliage peeping into the top of the image and use it frame the tower rather than distract from it. The rock on the left balances out the tower on the right and overall this composition works well and is elevated by the time of day and the warm, evening light. Thanks for sharing.

This is a bold image that breaks the rules and is all the better for it. Generally in landscape photography, we often avoid shooting directly into the sun because it can be really tricky to control and the usual result is blown highlights. However, you've dared to shoot into the sun here with intriguing and unique results that elevate the composition. Although there is a little bit of lens flare, the tones are even throughout and the sunstar you've created works well.

I like your composition, with the pylon in the foreground and the bridge, which is main focal point of the image judging by your title, visible in the distance. The stillness of the water gives the image a peaceful feel and the light gives an almost surreal touch. Continue to be bold and experiment! Thank you for sharing.

This is a well seen and composed seascape that uses all the elements in the frame to powerful effect. The two rock formations out in the sea are the main focal point and everything else in the image is either designed to lead us to them or balancing them out in the composition.

I like that you've allowed for a little bit of movement in the water to add some narrative to the image, and this is another good example of mobile phone photography is what has been a strong week for mobile shots.

Everything in the frame balances well and the textures created by the rocks in the foreground and the high clouds in the sky all complement the textures of the rock formations out at sea.

Nicely seen and captured, thanks for sharing.

I wish you'd provided a little more detail in your description of this location, because the image itself is rather lovely and I'd have enjoyed reading through your creative process. However, sometimes the photo has to do the talking and this one demonstrates your skill as a photographer.

Often with scenes like this, it can be tempting to show them in context, with the sky and the rest of the landscape, but for me that's where good compositions get lost because the sky can often swallow an image whole. Your decision to shoot in portrait holds our attention and the conditions are really quite interesting. I can't quite tell if I'm looking at trees or shrubs, but the mist and low cloud that is drifting through the foliage really adds to the atmosphere. The colours are surreal, with greens contrasting with oranges.

An interesting scene that encourages a closer look, thank you for sharing.

This is a really good example of how to use wildlife in a landscape image. The image is not dominated by the wildlife, they are not the main focal point, but their presence is absolutely integral to the whole composition.

Here, the elk sit at the bottom of the frame and give the landscape behind a sense of scale. I love that the image breaks down into four distinct layers. Firstly there is the snowy foreground that contains the elk, and that gives way to the snowy tree line, adding texture. Beyond in the mountain that dominates the whole scene and above a blanket of cloud, causing the light to dapple on the mountainside.

There is a delicacy to your editing style that really elevates the image and the fact that this was taken on a mobile device demonstrates once again that the best camera is the one you have on you.

Well seen, captured, edited and presented, thank you for sharing.

There is something post-apocalyptic about this image with the skeleton of the cattle in the foreground and the emptiness of the landscape in the distance. It puts me in mind of some of the iconic video games I've played over the years like Red Dead Redemption or The Last of Us. It has an inherence cinematic quality that is elevated by your composition, positioning the carcass in the foreground and using portrait orientation to hold our attention.

Nicely done, thanks for sharing.

You've certainly managed to catch this scene at the perfect moment, with the first rays of the sun catching on the tops of the mountains, making them glow underneath the colour that is also catching in the clouds above.

The mountain range is particularly spectacular, and this is elevated further by the near-perfect reflection that you've managed to capture in the lake. I like that the far shore of the lake is snow covered as it creates another layer in the landscape and has a relationship to the snow covered peaks at the top of the mountain. The layers are further enhanced by the inclusion of the darker tree line, added some colour and texture to the scenery.

Well seen and captured, thanks for sharing.

I really like the mood that you've captured in this image. Sometimes when conditions are like this, it can put off certain photographers, but the absence of light can be just as compelling as light itself and this image is a wonderful demonstration of that.

The overcast sky hangs threateningly above the landscape, reflecting back in the water below. The tones are even throughout and there is an almost monochromatic feel to the image that is only interrupted by the greens finding a way through. The drifting low cloud adds to the atmosphere and all in all this is an intriguing, moody shot. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure what time of year this image is taken, but the time of day has a real impact on the scene.

I love the time between sunset and certified darkness, which the blue hour prevails. There is a softness to the dying light and your image captures this perfectly. The patterns in the sand are just about visible and there is a glow in the sky from the sun that has already set. I like that you've positioned the lighthouse front and centre with the cloud above framing it against the night sky.

Nicely done, thanks for sharing.

It's a classic location and for good reason, but its also one that is quite a journey to get to so I always admire photographers who have the tenacity to drive out to Neist Point and wait for the sunset. In your case, this has paid off, with the colour in the sky glowing with vibrant orange and complimenting the cool tones of the rest of the image.

I like your composition, with the rocky foreground leading the eye, swooping through the scene and leading us to the lighthouse right at the far end of the rock formation.

A worthy rendition of a popular and iconic location, thank you for sharing!

What a wonderfully wintery scene you've captured here. Everything I love about winter photography can be found in this image from the snow covered cabins to the snow covered trees and the still reflection in the icy blue water. All the tones are kept even by the overcast weather and the inclusion of the cabin in the frame adds some much needed colour, with the brown standing out against the green of the trees behind.

The branches on the left of the frame are a little distracting but other than that this is a lovely winter scene that must have been delightful to witness, let alone photograph.

There is something cinematic about this image that really helped it stand out in this contest. I love the storytelling that is happening in this single frame, with the abandoned car front and centre, its windscreen covered with a blanket and some rocks. It makes me wonder why it's there and the story behind its owner.

Although the car asks questions on the viewer, it's your composition that makes the image work. You balance out the car on the right of the frame with the tree on the left. In the distance, you make sure those mountain ranges are visible to give context and scale to the image. There is a whimsical note to your editing as well, with some of the image seemingly glowing.

An intriguing scene that has been elevated by your compositional and editing choices. Thanks for sharing.

I really like Mumbles pier for several reasons. Firstly, it is inherently photogenic, with the colourful roof and the complimentary tones and secondly, the backdrop of Port Talbot in the distance provides some context and speaks to the industrial legacy of this part of Wales.

Your composition works well here, and I like that you've only included a little bit of the pier in frame, allowing instead for negative space to dominate the rest of the frame. This decision makes the image interesting, and I like how the colours of the pier contrast with the colour of the sea and the sky above. The one cloud that is above the pier also works and demonstrates your attention to detail.

Well seen and captured, thank you for sharing.
