I really like the play of colours throughout this image with the flowers and the people. The eye is free to dart around and explore all the little scenes and stories taking place. While the backdrop of the rocky terrain does set this garden in a location, a visually more interesting image would probably involve a tighter crop. Try removing just the top to right above the people, or even keep the same aspect ratio to include only the garden and people, without any grassy area. Still a visually appealing image. Well done!
A wonderfully calm morning scene. The light on the mountains adds texture and shape that draws the attention of the viewers eye. I do find that the brighter sky keeps the eye away from focusing on the trees on the waters edge. Although the clouds in the sky are nice, cropping the image to make the horizon more central and the photo more panoramic would help bring the attention back to the landscape, and less on the sky. Still a well taken photo!
An excellent use of long exposure with a good composition. The sharp jagged texture of the rocks contrasts against the motion blurred details of the water. There is still a hint of movement and flow in the water from having a "shorter" long exposure, the drama of which suits the subject matter. The distant island adds a touch of symmetry to the chaos. Well done!

A lovely tranquil scene captured beautifully in black and white. While I'm sure the scene would look just as good in colour, the textures of the stone bridge and the back lit details of the trees are well suited for a calming monochrome. There is a depth of subject matter and tonal range with a stark visual contrast between the natural elements and the manmade shapes and lines.

A great use of photography to make a dreary scene in miserable weather tell a story and capture the viewers interest. The tiny figure of the car on the windy wet road quickly catches the eye, adding a touch of life to bleak surroundings and brooding sky. A closer inspection reveals what looks like bikes on the back of the car, further adding to the mystery of the scene. Surely no-one would be out riding in this weather! Nice capture!
The light on those hills is just divine! A hint of warmth through what is clearly a landscape frequented by rains. While there is a lovely glow to the sky and some foreground bushes, the main feature of the photo is the sunlit verdant hills. For this reason I'd suggest a landscape orientated crop through the middle with about one quarter sky and three quarters hills. The viewers eyes will be able to remain in those detailed areas much longer. Still a great shot!
A beautiful sunrise by calm waters, it doesn't get much more tranquil than this. The light shining off the water is pulls the eye in, with the birds silhouette providing a point of contrast and detail. I like how you've used the overhanging branches to help frame the sunrise scene. You could take this even further by cropping the image down to make the sun the central point of focus. By dragging the top left corner down to keep some of the branches and the bird on the left, so the sun is in the centre of the frame, you'll keep the essence of the photo without any distracting empty space.
A great focus on the flora of the location. The lupins have become synonymous with New Zealand and look spectacular in photos. From the use of focus and colour in this photo, the attention of the viewer is immediately drawn to the patch of pink flowers amongst the purple. The misty warm and magenta background adds further interest to the scene and refocuses attention on the flowers. Well done!
A simple shot used to great effect. The open aperture with a distant focal point has left the closer areas unfocused, reinforcing the push of the viewers eye down the winding road. The road seems to disappear sharply behind the tree on the corner, leaving us wondering what is around the bend. The overall feel of the photo is reminiscent of paintings of old dirt or rural roads. Well done!

Beautiful golden layered hills to backdrop a stunning evening rural scene. Sometimes the countryside can feel like a page out of a fairy tale, and this photo is a testament to that. I love the ethereal glow over the hills and the small curve of the road on the left that leads the eye to the little tree. There is a great balance in the composition with the buildings on one side and the bright light on the other. Also the division of equal thirds foreground, background, and sky. Nice work!
The photographer has done well here to line up the features in this photo to create symmetry and visual appeal. There are two things that could elevate the look of this shot. One is simply straightening the horizon to suit the alignment in the rest of the scene. The other is a crop to remove a lot of the sky and a portion of the path. A different aspect ratio of 2:3 or 4:5 would balance the shot a lot more. You still have everything here for a really good photo!
You've done well with this astrophotography landscape image. Finding a captivating foreground interest that compliments the night sky is not always easy. Then going on to correctly expose the terrestrial scene with the Milky Way is harder still. A well exposed image that tells a story of the location well.

A wonderfully bright and uplifting mountain view. This is a great example of how worthwhile it is to go hiking in the mountains. A small trail that doesn't tarnish the landscape, a small bridge over the river mouth, seemingly endless peaks blanketed in the shadows of clouds. I have the urge to pick up my camera and take a photo just by looking at this shot! My only regret is I can't simply walk into the scene and cross that bridge. Thanks for sharing it with us!
You've used the out of focus foreground element to good effect here, providing a "revealed view" feel to the image, as well as adding a well suited addition to the colour palette. You can almost here the gentle sound of metal windchimes with that sparkling glow off the snow capped mountain. A great example of how a stock standard amazing view can be made personal and memorable with a few choice decisions. Well done!
